Joseph from the town of Arimathaea was a wealthy Jewish religious leader. What risk did he take and why was he willing to do this? Note: Isaiah 53:9 - "And they made His grave with the wicked, But with the rich at His death."
Joseph was looking for the Kingdom of God, so he chose it over what the people he led would have said. Sometimes in life one has to go an extra mile for what he really feels for himself, no matter what the outcome shall be.

Why is it signficant that Jesus fulfilled what was predicted hundreds of years before? Note: Mark refers to the old Scriptures from the Prophet Isaiah (chapter 53) "He poured out his soul unto death, And He was numbered with the transgressors, And
God had always loved this world, it is significant through choosing one nation, Isreal through which He wanted to redeem the whole world. God is righteteous, He had promised through the prophets that He would send a redeemer, and so He did. It is significant that He's a God who keeps His promises, no matter how much time elapses.

What was Jesus feeling and thinking while he was mocked and humiliated in front of others? Recall Jesus` own teachings (Matt 5:11), "Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me.
I do not think Jesus felt any bitternes of heart as He was being mocked, instead He felt sorry for them, because He wanted every one to recognise that He is that light that was to come to the world, but they preffered darkness. Jesus must have been crying inside Him because He was suffering, and yet the ones' He came to redeem simply mocked Him. He wasn't furious, He was simply ful of pity in the inside.
