The Roman governor, Pilate, found that Jesus had done nothing wrong. Yet, he authorized Jesus` crucifixion to please the crowd. Can you explain why people put popularity above doing what is right?

people choose popularity over doing what is right because they are always insecure about their positions. In this Case, if Pilate had chosen Jesus over the desire of his subjects, maybe he would have been cencured by his authorities. When something is a threat to one's life or position, normally wrong decisions are taken, in yhis case Jesus called Himself King infront of Kings, they were scared of His kingdom, because He had people starting to believe in Him.

Jesus was amazed at how much effort they put into His arrest and He seemed to have been naive about what lay ahead of Him.

In anticipation of what is ahead, Jesus experiences intense emotions, described as trouble, distress and exceeding sorrow. What final decision does Jesus make here in discussion with his "Abba Father" (daddy)?

Jesus finlly decided to drink the cup, because He prayed and insited, but for the first time in the whole of His life, the Father kept silent. He probably didn't have any retreat, so He went ahead and faced whatever was ther awaitng Him.
