Jesus died on Wednesday and rose on Sunday morning There is a line of thought that Jesus died on the Wednesday. The Thursday was called a Sabbath because it was a holy festival day ''see Old Testament''. Friday and Saturday Jesus was still in grave. Then on Saturday night/Sunday morning Jesus rose. This then makes sense that Jesus was dead for 3 days and 3 nights. Which is the length of time that Jewish culture understood someone to be definitely dead and not in a comma. Why is this line of thought not talked more about?
