Is it fair to say that Jesus was a messenger from God? (Messiah looks like it originates from the word message. Thought Messiah is often referred to as deliverer.)

Power of words 2000 years ago, it was much easier to go to jail by saying the wrong things. Words were regarded as being more powerful that our current regard. But Jesus shows an even larger regard to what words could be. His words. Which were words from God. Are equal to eternal life!!!!!
