Why is religious hypocrisy so offensive to Jesus?

Like Jesus said, they preach what they do not practice, yet they are always at the fore front of condeming the ones' accused of breaking the laws of Moses. Jesus wants our hearts first, because whatever is done by the body is what comes from one's heart.

Why do you think the Saducees did not know the Scriptures or the power of God?

They did not care to find out. Heavenly matters where kept in secrecy, and only revealed to those who seek to find out, and are cchildren in the Kingdom of God, through His Son. No one can ever know the power of God, unless he acknowledges the power of Jesus in all this.The Saducees did not, and therefore Jesus could not let Himself be revealed to them. Note: All the miracles and the revelation of God's power we need to see is through the name Jesus, therefore, ONLY those who call upon that name can see the.

Why was the king so angry when those invited did not come to the wedding banquet? What point was Jesus making with this parable?

Its because the king put in a lot of effort to organise the dinner, and was dissapointed by there denial. Jesus was trying to inform the people that those God had thought of in the begining as being worthy for His Kingdom, turned out to be a disappointment, so He went on, instead, to look for the most un previlaged to fit them in that place.
