I now know Jesus has always been there for me or I would not have come through the things I have. I thank Him for everything he has done for me Why did Jesus tell the man to take up the mat and walk, even though Jesus knew this violated what the Jews permitted on the Sabbath? Jesus was, or, is Lord. Therefore He is the Lord of the Sabath too. He got all the power to perform and command as He wishes, Sabath or no Sabath because He makes days, and commands whatever He wishes upon them. Jesus despised the laws of the Jews, and He had come to set a new chapter of rihghteous by the grace of God, not by the laws of man.

Why did Jesus tell the man to take up the mat and walk, even though Jesus knew this violated what the Jews permitted on the Sabbath? Jesus gave the man what he needed irrespective of what the law of that country said. That is why Jesus asked them if they would leave their animal if it fell into thi pit on a Sabbath day.
