What is the role of the Holy Spirit during Jesus` challenge with the devil? The Holy Spirit is the one that gave counsel to Jesus all the time to challenge the devil in the manner He did. He was given quick and defined wisdom to make the devil realised that it had no place tempting Jesus, and the Holy Spirit also gave Him power to stand before the devil. Though Head been hungry for forty days, He did not bend down before the devil for bread, and even if He was standing high, He was given wisdom to understand that it wasn't the power of the devil that had put him up there.

Who is the Holy Spirit? The Holy Spirit is the mediator between Jesus, and man. This is the messanger who works and communicates to people on behalf of Heaven. The one who is given to every person to be counsellor, and provide power to work miracles on in the name of Jesus.
