Since Luke was researching for a high government official, "Most Excellent Theophilis", how many eyewitnesses (and who) do you think Luke interviewed before writing his report?

It's most likely that Luke interviewed as many people as he could as he was compiling notes for the most excellent Theophilis. I do believe that Luke got first hand information from the first apostles, I mean the likes of John, Peter, Paul, Mathias, etc. This man must have gone an extra mile to prove every bit of information he obtained therefore he moved to varoius places of Israel, Judea, the far East and the Roman empire were Jesus and first the apostles reached especially Paul. However, like every physician, they do not believe a lot in super natural powers, little wonder that Jesus is so much reffered to as a Son of Man in the book of Luke than any other book in the new testament. All the facts about Jesus as written by Luke are also written in other books of the bible, like Matthew, John, and Mark, therefore, he did enough homework, which he later edited to exclude facts that most physicians feel that they do not apply in world of humanity and science.

What would have been your response if you had seen Jesus killed and then alive again? What would cause others to respond differently?

I would have accepted that truly, He is a Son of the Most High.

Well what can cause one to respond differently even on true fact depends on what one wishes to believe, and not to. people refuse to believe at times, simply because thet do not want to.

What was Jesus feeling and thinking while he was mocked and humiliated in front of others? Recall Jesus` own teachings (Matt 5:11), "Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven."
Jesus was simply feeling sorry for them because Jesus wasn't like any other human being to condem, feel insulted, or that sort. He was always sympathising with them that refused to believe the goodnews of the Kingdom of God. I think He knew that such people would be a part of His mission before He accepted coming down here.
