Why does Jesus place commandments to actively love above commandments to refrain from evil (thou shall notÃ¢€Â¦)? Note: Jesus answered with two quotations from the Jewish law about loving God (Deuteronomy 6:4), and about loving neighbors (Leviticus 19:18).

It's because a loving heart, shall not take a bribe, may not find it easy to steal, kill, commit adultery, and all sins of that sort. A person with a loving heart will always find another way to resolve a conflict peacefully, and even if this can fail, He / She can not do as much harm, compared to other people. Yes Jesus was right about this one because if the present day world we are living in had some love, it would have been a better place, and still, if our great grandfathers had chosen to live a loving life, some conflicts we are seeing now would have been avoided.

Jesus said certain items belong to God that should be given back (rendered) to God. What are these items?

The Body, and Soul, Spirit belong to God, because as human beings, we are considered a temple of the Christ that He has a right to use at any time. Items like tieths, love offerings, and gifts out of a loving, peaceful, and sincere heart also belong to God, because they are used to build the body of Christ. Also praise and worship belong only to God, the rest, although the the world and it's fullness is the Lord's, He gave it to man.

Jesus was here 2008 years ago, but all along, these religious leaders were the same Pharisees who criticised Jesus, however, some managed to change colours so as to move along with the people after realizing that they were loosing congregation, but they still wear the same old hearts, though this time with another skin. Question; What do you think has made these people to continue practicing the opposite to what preach?
