The words of Jesus that He prophesised to Peter had to be fulfilled. And still, Jesus was this miracle worker who amazed everybody and the disciples felt so secure with Him. It was a blow to all of them to see their master being led away like a sheep to the slaughter house. Peter was engulfed in fear because he did not know what could be done to him, after witnessing what Jesus was going through, yet he thought that He had all the power to get away from it.
