This is a significant difference to the old Jewish religion where "Fear" and "Retribution" were taught. We can be in mental torment from guilt of sin. Peace from that mental torment can be now be received from "forgiveness through His disciples" What is the blessing that comes to those who have not seen and yet believe? The blessing is eternal life for those who believe that Jesus was the Son of God and gave his life for so we can have eternal life.

What did you learn about Jesus` background that stands out or surprises you? He was born in a nation which was ruled by so many foreign govenment yet still struggled for their own freedom. Jesus wasn't born in a prestigeous family nor a wealthy one.
