The rich get richer and the poor poorer yet at death we are all equal as we take nothing with us the gift of life over rides any worldly gifts and money old saying money is the root of all evil The importance of the widow's gift related directly to her lack of money and her desire to do good for Jesus. Jesus placed the value of the widow's gift to him, higher than the larger sums of money given by the rich. Jesus said "....watch out that you dont get led astray...", What did Jesus mean by this? At the time Jesus spoke, he pointed out to the people that the beautiful temple in which they prayed would be completly destroyed. In time all of our great assetts will be also lost in time, therefore we must always be focussed on the word of Jesus in our lives.
