All you can do is...

Have you ever found yourself in a situation where you have realised that you have sinned and repented, yet you still feel condemned?

My friends, believe me when I say I have felt your pain many times.  There is a key to happiness and it ccomes in the gift of eternal life and mercy which Jesus gave us on the cross some 2000 years ago!  The key is to ask for God's mercy.  Ask with your whole heart.  Make sure that when you repent, you feel the reality of your confession in your heart and in your soul.  Pray to your God and receive his mercies and then move on.  You cannot unscramble eggs, or turn a cake back into flour and water!  Attempting to remove guilt by over-thinking or attempting to deconstruct it through dwelling on it; will ultimately make you feel worse.  Only God has what is needed to remove your sins.  Acts 3:19-20 NIV says:

"Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord, and that he may send the Christ, who has been appointed for you—even Jesus."

This means that no matter what you have done, if you repent and express your sorrow to the Lord, he WILL heal you and make you new.

The Enemy Part #1

In my Christian life I have discovered that the enemy is absolutely everywhere in the world.  And, it was when I when I lost my way (before I got born again), that I realised this fact.

You see, there is a physical world and there is a spiritual world.  As children of God, I truely believe that we are spiritual beings incased within physical bodies.  God has created us in this way for the same reasons that he placed his only darling son in the world.  We are here to be God's presence and love on the earth.  We are here to spread the good news and share Jesus' love with the people of the world.  But, in doing this we are a direct threat to the enemy.  Satan sees us toiling day and night by God's side and he hates it.  Because we are under the constant protection of the Father, there is not a whole lot that Satan can do to us.  Our spirits are strong!  Our spirits are clothed in the blood of Christ.  He can, however, attempt to attack our physical weaknesses.  One of Satan's favourite places to work is in the environment of our minds.  He likes to pray on our doubts, on our fears and on any areas where we may lack strength. The struggle for us is to overcome our physical fears and acknowledge that Jesus Christ is our vindicator. We may not be perfect, but we are forgiven in Jesus' name! The Bible says that even the sound of Jesus' name makes the demons tremble, so step out in authority and state that "no weapon formed against you shall ever prosper in Jesus name!"
