The Calling of Levi

Levi is like most of living a normal life before he was called by God.

We can only hope we are called also.

The Work Of The Holy Spirit
It would be so nice if Jesus was here with us on earth. His phyysical presence would be a blessing. I am sure many would flock to be anywhere near him, just like the days of his ministry. However, Jesus had to die on the cross so to fulfill the prophecy as written in the Scriptures. He was doing the will of His Father. His crucifiction and resurrection is testament to the principles of Christianity. Without his death, we would still be living in sin, and unable to reach God. He sends his Holy Spirit to comfort and guide us in our daily lives.

Does Jesus believe lowly people are valuable? How valuable?
Yes. Jesus believes lowly people are valuable. Everyone is a child of God, regardless of wealth and status. He came to heal the blind, save the lost & sinful. The rich came to the treasury to place money. A poor widow also came. Jesus said  "Truly I say to you, this poor widow put in more than all the contributors to the treasury; for they all put in out of their surplus, but she, out of her poverty, put in all she owned, all she had to live on." ( Mark 12:41-44) This tells us that Jesus believed the poor were so valuable.
