It was normal and natural for Peter not to want to die like Jesus

Many people today have various reasons to be afraid to identify with Jesus.

* Some people are afraid of offending other people's personal faith.

* Some people do not feel worthy to be preaching due to their own sense of failure.

* Some people are too shy to approach other people to discuss a subject so personal.

* Some people feel just saving their own souls is a big enough task.

We need to pray for the strength, knowledge and faith to represent Jesus to people who need Jesus in their lives.

Remember - Jesus’ return will occur at any moment, suddenly and without any warning. 

Whether we be sheep or goat at that precise moment, hinges on the things we’ve said and done to / for others, i.e., our behavior toward others but especially on how our behavior reflects sincere triune love of ‘God, Father and Son’. 

It’s the compassion that speaks from the heart that matters to God, not the physical act of material help.  We, each of us will know it of ourselves of course … but God has known it of us all along.
