In the temple and other places He dealt with people who formed their idea of Him on what He said and did. Jesus felt that nothing would change His countrymen' s opinion of Him. The wicked will be isolated with their wealth or wish of wealth. They will know the damage they have caused others and are filled with dispair. The righteous will be happy with many people who want to be with them. All confident of their future with Jesus Christ. Why did God allow John to be beheaded by Herod? God, I believe, treated John,the Baptist in the same way as Jesus, in that when both had completed their life's work, they were despatched in a way they would be remembered.
