The Enemy Part #1

In my Christian life I have discovered that the enemy is absolutely everywhere in the world.  And, it was when I when I lost my way (before I got born again), that I realised this fact.

You see, there is a physical world and there is a spiritual world.  As children of God, I truely believe that we are spiritual beings incased within physical bodies.  God has created us in this way for the same reasons that he placed his only darling son in the world.  We are here to be God's presence and love on the earth.  We are here to spread the good news and share Jesus' love with the people of the world.  But, in doing this we are a direct threat to the enemy.  Satan sees us toiling day and night by God's side and he hates it.  Because we are under the constant protection of the Father, there is not a whole lot that Satan can do to us.  Our spirits are strong!  Our spirits are clothed in the blood of Christ.  He can, however, attempt to attack our physical weaknesses.  One of Satan's favourite places to work is in the environment of our minds.  He likes to pray on our doubts, on our fears and on any areas where we may lack strength. The struggle for us is to overcome our physical fears and acknowledge that Jesus Christ is our vindicator. We may not be perfect, but we are forgiven in Jesus' name! The Bible says that even the sound of Jesus' name makes the demons tremble, so step out in authority and state that "no weapon formed against you shall ever prosper in Jesus name!"

My Friends, I have been a Christian my whole life, but in recent days I found myself looking back at my life and realising that in certain areas of my life, I had fallen away and done things which the world may accept, but Christian life does not. I prayed to God repeatedly and asked for forgiveness, and although I have no doubt that he forgave me, I felt as though I could do more. I went to church and recommitted my life to the Lord. It was a beautiful, life-changing experience. Since then, I have been in constant prayer to God becasue I still feel bad about low places which I allowed myself to fall into, and today I was praying and God spoke to me. He said: "You did these things because of your curiosity, and the enemy used the opportunity to draw you in. You have been a threat to him always and he took that chance to strike you. But, I have forgiven you. Do not allow your guilt to give him something else and keep you from me. Do not try to understand why you sinned, but rather, do not sin in those ways again and you will stay pure always." It was a beautiful thing. It was humbling to feel so blessed in that moment and I take it with me. Has anyone else ever had trouble letting go of past transgressions?

rich is not Godly
god does not judge us by the house and money but by the wealth of our hearts and our faith in him
