1325 entries for this category: The example from Jesus is that when we have problems and need help, we should pray alone. When we are alone, we are able to concentrate without the normal contact with immediate daily problems. Jesus does this seclusion as part of His busy schedule and this would help us in our lives. Jesus wanted the disciples to realise their own limitations in being able to feed 5000 people from so little. He also wanted to show them the spectacular results they could achieve with the help of Jesus. Herod feared a loss of respect of his oath. It was important that Herod opponents respected his oath otherwise nobody would respect a threat by or a deal with Herod. Yes, often I have felt that I have made committments either time wise or finnancially which were wrong. I do not mind admitting to an error and I try to change the incorrect committments but I am not a powerful man. In the middle of busyness, Jesus departed to a mountain to pray. What do you learn from Jesus example.
