约翰所著的耶稣传记——第14章 你们心里不要忧愁。你们信神,也当信我。 (14:1) 在我父的家里,有许多住处。若是没有,我就早已告诉你们了。我去原是为你们预备地方去。 (14:2) 我若去为你们预备了地方,就必再来接你们到我那里去,我在哪里,叫你们也在哪里。 (14:3) 我往哪里去,你们知道。那条路,你们也知道。(有古卷作我往哪里去你们知道那条路) (14:4) 多马对他说,主阿,我们不知道你往哪里去,怎么知道那条路呢? (14:5) 耶稣说,我就是道路,真理,生命。若不借着我。没有人能到父那里去。 (14:6) 你们若认识我,也就认识我的父。从今以后,你们认识他,并且已经看见他。 (14:7) 腓力对他说,求主将父显给我们看,我们就知足了。 (14:8) 耶稣对他说,腓力,我与你们同在这样长久,你还不认识我吗?人看见了我,就是看见了父。你怎么说,将父显给我们看呢? (14:9) 我在父里面,父在我里面,你不信吗?我对你们所说的话,不是凭着自己说的,乃是住在我里面的父作他自己的事。 (14:10) 你们当信我,我在父里面,父在我里面。即或不信,也当因我所作的事信我。 (14:11) 我实实在在地告诉你们,我所作的事,信我的人也要作。并且要作比这更大的事。因为我往父那里去。 (14:12) 你们奉我的名,无论求什么,我必成就,叫父因儿子得荣耀。 (14:13) 你们若奉我的名求什么,我必成就。 (14:14) 你们若爱我,就必遵守我的命令。 (14:15) 我要求父,父就另外赐给你们一位保惠师,(或作训慰师下同)叫他永远与你们同在。 (14:16) 就是真理的圣灵,乃世人不能接受的。因为不见他,也不认识他。你们却认识他。因他常与你们同在,也要在你们里面。 (14:17) 我不撇下你们为孤儿,我必到你们这里来。 (14:18) 还有不多的时候,世人不再看见我。你们却看见我。因为我活着,你们也要活着。 (14:19) 到那日,你们就知道我在父里面,你们在我里面,我也在你们里面。 (14:20) 有了我的命令又遵守的,这人就是爱我的。爱我的必蒙我父爱他,我也要爱他,并且要向他显现。 (14:21) 犹大(不是加略人犹大)问耶稣说,主阿,为什么要向我们显现,不向世人显现呢? (14:22) 耶稣回答说,人若爱我,就必遵守我的道。我父也必爱他,并且我们要到他那里去,与他同住。 (14:23) 不爱我的人就不遵守我的道。你们所听见的道不是我的,乃是差我来之父的道。 (14:24) 我还与你们同住的时候,已将这些话对你们说了。 (14:25) 但保惠师,就是父因我的名所要差来的圣灵,他要将一切的事,指教你们,并且要叫你们想起我对你们所说的一切话。 (14:26) 我留下平安给你们,我将我的平安赐给你们。我所赐的,不像世人所赐的。你们心里不要忧愁,也不要胆怯。 (14:27) 你们听见我对你们说了,我去还要到你们这里来。你们若爱我,因我到父那里去,就必喜乐,因为父是比我大的。 (14:28) 现在事情还没有成就,我预先告诉你们,叫你们到事情成就的时候,就可以信。 (14:29) 以后我不再和你们多说话,因为这世界的王将到。他在我里面是毫无所有。 (14:30) 但要叫世人知道我爱父,并且父怎样吩咐我,我就怎样行。起来我们走吧。 (14:31) [ 章节 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9 | 10 | 11 | 12 | 13 | 14 | 15 | 16 | 17 | 18 | 19 | 20 | 21 | ]

Jesus Comforts His Disciples "Don't let your heart be troubled. Believe in God. Believe also in me. In my Father's house are many homes. If it weren't so, I would have told you. I am going to prepare a place for you. If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and will receive you to myself; that where I am, you may be there also. Where I go, you know, and you know the way." Jesus the Way to the Father Thomas said to him, "Lord, we don't know where you are going. How can we know the way?" Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on, you know him, and have seen him." Philip said to him, "Lord, show us the Father, and that will be enough for us." Jesus said to him, "Have I been with you such a long time, and do you not know me, Philip? He who has seen me has seen the Father. How do you say, 'Show us the Father?' Don't you believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? The words that I tell you, I speak not from myself; but the Father who lives in me does his works. Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me; or else believe me for the very works' sake. Most certainly I tell you, he who believes in me, the works that I do, he will do also; and he will do greater works than these, because I am going to my Father. Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it. Jesus Promises the Holy Spirit "If you love me, keep my commandments. I will pray to the Father, and he will give you another Counselor, that he may be with you forever,--the Spirit of truth, whom the world can't receive; for it doesn't see him, neither knows him. You know him, for he lives with you, and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans. I will come to you. Yet a little while, and the world will see me no more; but you will see me. Because I live, you will live also. In that day you will know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you. One who has my commandments, and keeps them, that person is one who loves me. One who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him, and will reveal myself to him." Judas (not Iscariot) said to him, "Lord, what has happened that you are about to reveal yourself to us, and not to the world?" Jesus answered him, "If a man loves me, he will keep my word. My Father will love him, and we will come to him, and make our home with him. He who doesn't love me doesn't keep my words. The word which you hear isn't mine, but the Father's who sent me. I have said these things to you, while still living with you. But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things, and will remind you of all that I said to you. Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, give I to you. Don't let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful. You heard how I told you, 'I go away, and I come to you.' If you loved me, you would have rejoiced, because I said 'I am going to my Father;' for the Father is greater than I. Now I have told you before it happens so that, when it happens, you may believe. I will no more speak much with you, for the prince of the world comes, and he has nothing in me. But that the world may know that I love the Father, and as the Father commanded me, even so I do.
