约翰所著的耶稣传记——圣子使人得生命 所以犹太人逼迫耶稣，因为他在安息日作了这事。 (5:16) 耶稣就对他们说，我父作事直到如今，我也作事。 (5:17) 所以犹太人越发想要杀他。因他不但犯了安息日，并且称神为他的父，将自己和神当作平等。 (5:18) 耶稣对他们说，我实实在在地告诉你们，子凭着自己不能作什么，惟有看见父所作的，子才能作。父所作的事，子也照样作。 (5:19) 父爱子，将自己所作的一切事指给他看。还要将比这更大的事指给他看，叫你们希奇。 (5:20) 父怎样叫死人起来，使他们活着，子也照样随自己的意思使人活着。 (5:21) 父不审判什么人，乃将审判的事全交与子。 (5:22) 叫人都尊敬子，如同尊敬父一样。不尊敬子的，就是不尊敬差子来的父。 (5:23) 我实实在在地告诉你们，那听我话，又信差我来者的，就有永生，不至于定罪，是已经出死入生了。 (5:24) 我实实在在地告诉你们，时候将到，现在就是了，死人要听见神儿子的声音。听见的人就要活了。 (5:25) 因为父怎样在自己有生命，就赐给他儿子也照样在自己有生命。 (5:26) 并且因为他是人子，就赐给他行审判的权柄。 (5:27) 你们不要把这事看作希奇。时候要到，凡在坟墓里的，都要听见他的声音，就出来。 (5:28) 行善的复活得生，作恶的复活定罪。 (5:29) 我凭着自己不能作什么。我怎么听见，就怎么审判。我的审判也是公平的。因为我不求自己的意思，只求那差我来者的意思。 (5:30) 约翰 5:16-30

Life Through the Son
For this cause the Jews persecuted Jesus, and sought to kill him, because he did these things on the Sabbath. But Jesus answered them, "My Father is still working, so I am working, too." For this cause therefore the Jews sought all the more to kill him, because he not only broke the Sabbath, but also called God his own Father, making himself equal with God. Jesus therefore answered them, "Most certainly, I tell you, the Son can do nothing of himself, but what he sees the Father doing. For whatever things he does, these the Son also does likewise. For the Father has affection for the Son, and shows him all things that he himself does. He will show him greater works than these, that you may marvel. For as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, even so the Son also gives life to whom he desires. For the Father judges no one, but he has given all judgment to the Son, that all may honor the Son, even as they honor the Father. He who doesn't honor the Son doesn't honor the Father who sent him. "Most certainly I tell you, he who hears my word, and believes him who sent me, has eternal life, and doesn't come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life. Most certainly, I tell you, the hour comes, and now is, when the dead will hear the Son of God's voice; and those who hear will live. For as the Father has life in himself, even so he gave to the Son also to have life in himself. He also gave him authority to execute judgment, because he is a son of man. Don't marvel at this, for the hour comes, in which all that are in the tombs will hear his voice, and will come out; those who have done good, to the resurrection of life; and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of judgment. I can of myself do nothing. As I hear, I judge, and my judgment is righteous; because I don't seek my own will, but the will of my Father who sent me. John 5:16-30
