路加所著的耶稣传记——第19章 耶稣进了耶利哥,正经过的时候, (19:1) 有一个人名叫撒该,作税吏长,是个财主。 (19:2) 他要看看耶稣是怎样的人。只因人多,他的身量又矮,所以不得看见。 (19:3) 就跑到前头,爬上桑树,要看耶稣,因为耶稣必从那里经过。 (19:4) 耶稣到了那里,抬头一看,对他说,撒该,快下来,今天我必住在你家里。 (19:5) 他就急忙下来,欢欢喜喜地接待耶稣。 (19:6) 众人看见,都私下议论说,他竟到罪人家里去住宿。 (19:7) 撒该站着,对主说,主阿,我把所有的一半给穷人。我若讹诈了谁,就还他四倍。 (19:8) 耶稣说,今天救恩到了这家,因为他也是亚伯拉罕的子孙。 (19:9) 人子来,为要寻找拯救失丧的人。 (19:10) 众人正在听见这些话的时候,耶稣因为将近耶路撒冷,又因他们以为神的国快要显出来,就另设一个比喻说, (19:11) 有一个贵胄往远方去,要得国回来。 (19:12) 便叫了他的十个仆人来,交给他们十锭银子(锭原文作弥拿,一弥拿约银十两),说,你们去作生意,直等我回来。 (19:13) 他本国的人却恨他,打发使者随后去说,我们不愿意这个人作我们的王。 (19:14) 他既得国回来,就吩咐叫那领银子的仆人来,要知道他们作生意赚了多少。 (19:15) 头一个上来说,主阿,你的一锭银子,已经赚了十锭。 (19:16) 主人说,好良善的仆人。你既在最小的事上有忠心,可以有权柄管十座城。 (19:17) 第二个来说,主阿,你的一锭银子,已经赚了五锭。 (19:18) 主人说,你也可以管五座城。 (19:19) 又有一个来说,主阿,看哪,你的一锭银子在这里,我把他包在手巾里存着。 (19:20) 我原是怕你,因为你是严厉的人。没有放下的还要去拿,没有种下的还要去收。 (19:21) 主人对他说,你这恶仆,我要凭你的口,定你的罪。你既知道我是严厉的人,没有放下的还要去拿,没有种下的还要去收。 (19:22) 为什么不把我的银子交给银行,等我来的时候,连本带利都可以要回来呢? (19:23) 就对旁边站着的人说,夺过他这一锭来,给那有十锭的。 (19:24) 他们说,主阿,他已经有十锭了。 (19:25) 主人说,我告诉你们,凡有的,还要加给他。没有的,连他所有的,也要夺过来。 (19:26) 至于我那些仇敌不要我作他们王的,把他们拉来,在我面前杀了吧。 (19:27) 耶稣说完了这话,就在前面走,上耶路撒冷去。 (19:28) 将近伯法其和伯大尼,在一座山名叫橄榄山那里。就打发两个门徒,说, (19:29) 你们往对面村子里去。进去的时候,必看见一匹驴驹拴在那里,是从来没有人骑过的。可以解开牵来。 (19:30) 若有人问为什么解它,你们就说,主要用它。 (19:31) 打发的人去了,所遇见的,正如耶稣所说的。 (19:32) 他们解驴驹的时候,主人问他们说,解驴驹作什么? Luke 19
Zacchaeus the Tax Collector He entered and was passing through Jericho. There was a man named Zacchaeus. He was a chief tax collector, and he was rich. He was trying to see who Jesus was, and couldn't because of the crowd, because he was short. He ran on ahead, and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see him, for he was to pass that way. When Jesus came to the place, he looked up and saw him, and said to him, "Zacchaeus, hurry and come down, for today I must stay at your house." He hurried, came down, and received him joyfully. When they saw it, they all murmured, saying, "He has gone in to lodge with a man who is a sinner." Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord, "Behold, Lord, half of my goods I give to the poor. If I have wrongfully exacted anything of anyone, I restore four times as much." Jesus said to him, "Today, salvation has come to this house, because he also is a son of Abraham. For the Son of Man came to seek and to save that which was lost." The Parable of the Ten Minas As they heard these things, he went on and told a parable, because he was near Jerusalem, and they supposed that the Kingdom of God would be revealed immediately. He said therefore, "A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return. He called ten servants of his, and gave them ten mina coins, and told them, 'Conduct business until I come.' But his citizens hated him, and sent an envoy after him, saying, 'We don't want this man to reign over us.' "It happened when he had come back again, having received the kingdom, that he commanded these servants, to whom he had given the money, to be called to him, that he might know what they had gained by conducting business. The first came before him, saying, 'Lord, your mina has made ten more minas.' "He said to him, 'Well done, you good servant! Because you were found faithful with very little, you shall have authority over ten cities.' "The second came, saying, 'Your mina, Lord, has made five minas.' "So he said to him, 'And you are to be over five cities.' Another came, saying, 'Lord, behold, your mina, which I kept laid away in a handkerchief, for I feared you, because you are an exacting man. You take up that which you didn't lay down, and reap that which you didn't sow.' "He said to him, 'Out of your own mouth will I judge you, you wicked servant! You knew that I am an exacting man, taking up that which I didn't lay down, and reaping that which I didn't sow. Then why didn't you deposit my money in the bank, and at my coming, I might have earned interest on it?' He said to those who stood by, 'Take the mina away from him, and give it to him who has the ten minas.' "They said to him, 'Lord, he has ten minas!' 'For I tell you that to everyone who has, will more be given; but from him who doesn't have, even that which he has will be taken away from him. But bring those enemies of mine who didn't want me to reign over them here, and kill them before me.'" The Triumphal Entry Having said these things, he went on ahead, going up to Jerusalem. It happened, when he drew near to Bethsphage and Bethany, at the mountain that is called Olivet, he sent two of his disciples, saying, "Go your way into the village on the other side, in which, as you enter, you will find a colt tied, whereon no man ever yet sat. Untie it, and bring it. If anyone asks you, 'Why are you untying it?' say to him: 'The Lord needs it.'" Those who were sent went away, and found things just as he had told them. As they were untying the colt, the owners of it said to them, "Why are you untying the colt?" They said, "The Lord needs it." They brought it to Jesus. They threw their cloaks on the colt, and set Jesus on them. As he went, they spread their cloaks in the way. As he was now getting near, at the descent of the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works which they had seen, saying, "Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord! Peace in heaven, and glory in the highest!" Some of the Pharisees from the multitude said to him, "Teacher, rebuke your disciples!" He answered them, "I tell you that if these were silent, the stones would cry out." When he drew near, he saw the city and wept over it, saying, "If you, even you, had known today the things which belong to your peace! But now, they are hidden from your eyes. For the days will come on you, when your enemies will throw up a barricade against you, surround you, hem you in on every side, and will dash you and your children within you to the ground. They will not leave in you one stone on another, because you didn't know the time of your visitation." Jesus at the Temple He entered into the temple, and began to drive out those who bought and sold in it, saying to them, "It is written, 'My house is a house of prayer,' but you have made it a 'den of robbers'!" He was teaching daily in the temple, but the chief priests and the scribes and the leading men among the people sought to destroy him. They couldn't find what they might do, for all the people hung on to every word that he said.
