马太所著的耶稣传记——第25章 那时,天国好比十个童女,拿着灯,出去迎接新郎。 (25:1) 其中有五个是愚拙的。五个是聪明的。 (25:2) 愚拙的拿着灯,却不预备油。 (25:3) 聪明的拿着灯,又预备油在器皿里。 (25:4) 新郎迟延的时候,她们都打盹睡着了。 (25:5) 半夜有人喊着说,新郎来了,你们出来迎接他。 (25:6) 那些童女就都起来收拾灯。 (25:7) 愚拙的对聪明的说,请分点油给我们。因为我们的灯要灭了。 (25:8) 聪明的回答说,恐怕不够你我用的。不如你们自己到卖油的那里去买吧。 (25:9) 她们去买的时候,新郎到了。那预备好了的,同他进去坐席。门就关了。 (25:10) 其余的童女,随后也来了,说,主阿,主阿,给我们开门。 (25:11) 他却回答说,我实在告诉你们,我不认识你们。 (25:12) 所以你们要儆醒,因为那日子,那时辰,你们不知道。 (25:13) 天国又好比一个人要往外国去,就叫了仆人来,把他的家业交给他们。 (25:14) 按着各人的才干,给他们银子。一个给了五千,一个给了二千,一个给了一千。就往外国去了。 (25:15) 那领五千的,随即拿去做买卖,另外赚了五千。 (25:16) 那领二千的,也照样另赚了二千。 (25:17) 但那领一千的,去掘开地,把主人的银子埋藏了。 (25:18) 过了许久,那些仆人的主人来了,和他们算账。 (25:19) 那领五千银子的,又带着那另外的五千来,说,主阿,你交给我五千银子,请看,我又赚了五千。 (25:20) 主人说,好,你这又良善又忠心的仆人。你在不多的事上有忠心,我要把许多事派你管理。可以进来享受你主人的快乐。 (25:21) 那领二千的也来说,主阿,你交给我二千银子,请看,我又赚了二千。 (25:22) 主人说,好,你这又良善又忠心的仆人。你在不多的事上有忠心,我要把许多事派你管理。可以进来享受你主人的快乐。 (25:23) 那领一千的,也来说,主阿,我知道你是忍心的人,没有种的地方要收割,没有散的地方要聚敛。 (25:24) 我就害怕,去把你的一千银子埋藏在地里。请看,你的原银子在这里。 (25:25) 主人回答说,你这又恶又懒的仆人,你既知道我没有种的地方要收割,没有散的地方要聚敛。 (25:26) 就当把我的银子放给兑换银钱的人,到我来的时候,可以连本带利收回。 (25:27) 夺过他这一千来,给那有一万的。 (25:28) 因为凡有的,还要加给他,叫他有余。没有的,连他所有的,也要夺过来。 (25:29) 把这无用的仆人,丢在外面黑暗里。在那里必要哀哭切齿了。 (25:30) 当人子在他荣耀里同着众天使降临的时候,要坐在他荣耀的宝座上。 (25:31) 万民都要聚集在他面前。他要把他们分别出来,好像牧羊的分别绵羊、山羊一般。 (25:32) 把绵羊安置在右边,山羊在左边。 (25:33) 于是王要向那右边的说,你们这蒙我父赐福的,可来承受那创世以来为你们所预备的国。 (25:34) 因为我饿了,你们给我吃。渴了,你们给我喝。我作客旅,你们留我住。 (25:35) 我赤身露体,你们给我穿。我病了,你们看顾我。我在监里,你们来看我。 (25:36) 义人就回答说,主阿,我们什么时候见你饿了给你吃,渴了给你喝? (25:37) 什么时候见你作客旅留你住,或是赤身露体给你穿? (25:38) 又什么时候见你病了,或是在监里,来看你呢? (25:39) 王要回答说,我实在告诉你们,这些事你们既作在我这弟兄中一个最小的身上,就是作在我身上了。 (25:40) 王又要向那左边的说,你们这被咒诅的人,离开我,进入那为魔鬼和他的使者所预备的永火里去。 (25:41) 因为我饿了,你们不给我吃。渴了,你们不给我喝。 (25:42) 我作客旅,你们不留我住。我赤身露体,你们不给我穿。我病了,我在监里,你们不来看顾我。 (25:43) 他们也要回答说,主阿,我们什么时候见你饿了,或渴了,或作客旅,或赤身露体,或病了,或在监里,不伺候你呢? The Parable of the Ten Virgins "Then the Kingdom of Heaven will be like ten virgins, who took their lamps, and went out to meet the bridegroom. Five of them were foolish, and five were wise. Those who were foolish, when they took their lamps, took no oil with them, but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. Now while the bridegroom delayed, they all slumbered and slept. But at midnight there was a cry, 'Behold! The bridegroom is coming! Come out to meet him!' Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. The foolish said to the wise, 'Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.' But the wise answered, saying, 'What if there isn't enough for us and you? You go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.' While they went away to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the marriage feast, and the door was shut. Afterward the other virgins also came, saying, 'Lord, Lord, open to us.' But he answered, 'Most certainly I tell you, I don't know you.' Watch therefore, for you don't know the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming. The Parable of the Talents "For it is like a man, going into another country, who called his own servants, and entrusted his goods to them. To one he gave five talents, to another two, to another one; to each according to his own ability. Then he went on his journey. Immediately he who received the five talents went and traded with them, and made another five talents. In like manner he also who got the two gained another two. But he who received the one went away and dug in the earth, and hid his lord's money. "Now after a long time the lord of those servants came, and reconciled accounts with them. He who received the five talents came and brought another five talents, saying, 'Lord, you delivered to me five talents. Behold, I have gained another five talents besides them.' "His lord said to him, 'Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a few things, I will set you over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.' "He also who got the two talents came and said, 'Lord, you delivered to me two talents. Behold, I have gained another two talents besides them.' "His lord said to him, 'Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a few things, I will set you over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.' "He also who had received the one talent came and said, 'Lord, I knew you that you are a hard man, reaping where you did not sow, and gathering where you did not scatter. I was afraid, and went away and hid your talent in the earth. Behold, you have what is yours.' "But his lord answered him, 'You wicked and slothful servant. You knew that I reap where I didn't sow, and gather where I didn't scatter. You ought therefore to have deposited my money with the bankers, and at my coming I should have received back my own with interest. Take away therefore the talent from him, and give it to him who has the ten talents. For to everyone who has will be given, and he will have abundance, but from him who doesn't have, even that which he has will be taken away. Throw out the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.' The Sheep and the Goats "But when the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then he will sit on the throne of his glory. Before him all the nations will be gathered, and he will separate them one from another, as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. Then the King will tell those on his right hand, 'Come, blessed of my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world; for I was hungry, and you gave me food to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave me drink; I was a stranger, and you took me in; naked, and you clothed me; I was sick, and you visited me; I was in prison, and you came to me.' "Then the righteous will answer him, saying, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry, and feed you; or thirsty, and give you a drink? When did we see you as a stranger, and take you in; or naked, and clothe you? When did we see you sick, or in prison, and come to you?' "The King will answer them, 'Most certainly I tell you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.' Then he will say also to those on the left hand, 'Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire which is prepared for the devil and his angels; for I was hungry, and you didn't give me food to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave me no drink; I was a stranger, and you didn't take me in; naked, and you didn't clothe me; sick, and in prison, and you didn't visit me.' "Then they will also answer, saying, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and didn't help you?' "Then he will answer them, saying, 'Most certainly I tell you, inasmuch as you didn't do it to one of the least of these, you didn't do it to me.' These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life."
