马太所著的耶稣传记—— 第8章 耶稣下了山,有许多人跟着他。 (8:1) 有一个长大麻疯的来拜他说,主若肯,必能叫我洁净了。 (8:2) 耶稣伸手摸他说,我肯,你洁净了吧。他的大麻疯立刻就洁净了。 (8:3) 耶稣对他说,你切不可告诉人。只要去把身体给祭司察看,献上摩西所吩咐的礼物,对众人作证据。 (8:4) 耶稣进了迦百农,有一个百夫长进前来,求他说, (8:5) 主阿,我的仆人害瘫痪病,躺在家里,甚是疼苦。 (8:6) 耶稣说,我去医治他。 (8:7) 百夫长回答说,主阿,你到我舍下,我不敢当。只要你说一句话,我的仆人就必好了。 (8:8) 因为我在人的权下,也有兵在我以下。对这个说,去,他就去。对那个说,来,他就来。对我的仆人说,你作这事,他就去作。 (8:9) 耶稣听见就希奇,对跟从的人说,我实在告诉你们,这么大的信心,就是在以色列中,我也没有遇见过。 (8:10) 我又告诉你们,从东从西,将有许多人来,在天国里与亚伯拉罕,以撒,雅各,一同坐席。 (8:11) 惟有本国的子民,竟被赶到外边黑暗里去。在那里必要哀哭切齿了。 (8:12) 耶稣对百夫长说,你回去吧。照你的信心,给你成全了。那时,他的仆人就好了。 (8:13) 耶稣到了彼得家里,见彼得的岳母害热病躺着。 (8:14) 耶稣把她的手一摸,热就退了。她就起来服事耶稣。 (8:15) 到了晚上,有人带着许多被鬼附的,来到耶稣跟前,他只用一句话,就把鬼都赶出去。并且治好了一切有病的人。 (8:16) 这是要应验先知以赛亚的话,说,他代替我们的软弱,担当我们的疾病。 (8:17) 耶稣见许多人围着他,就吩咐渡到那边去。 (8:18) 有一个文士来,对他说,夫子,你无论往哪里去,我要跟从你。 (8:19) 耶稣说,狐狸有洞,天空的飞鸟有窝,人子却没有枕头的地方。 (8:20) 又有一个门徒对耶稣说,主阿,容我先回去埋葬我的父亲。 (8:21) 耶稣说,任凭死人埋葬他们的死人,你跟从我吧。 (8:22) 耶稣上了船,门徒跟着他。 (8:23) 海里忽然起了暴风,甚至船被波浪掩盖。耶稣却睡着了。 (8:24) 门徒来叫醒了他,说,主阿,救我们,我们丧命啦。 (8:25) 耶稣说,你们这小信的人哪,为什么胆怯呢?于是起来,斥责风和海,风和海就大大地平静了。 (8:26) 众人希奇说,这是怎样的人,连风和海也听从他了。 (8:27) 耶稣既渡到那边去,来到加大拉人的地方,就有两个被鬼附的人,从坟茔里出来迎着他,极其凶猛,甚至没有人能从那条路上经过。 (8:28) 他们喊着说,神的儿子,我们与你有什么相干。时候还没有到,你就上这里来叫我们受苦吗? Matthew 8
The Man With Leprosy When he came down from the mountain, great multitudes followed him. Behold, a leper came to him and worshiped him, saying, "Lord, if you want to, you can make me clean." Jesus stretched out his hand, and touched him, saying, "I want to. Be made clean." Immediately his leprosy was cleansed. Jesus said to him, "See that you tell nobody, but go, show yourself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, as a testimony to them." The Faith of the Centurion When he came into Capernaum, a centurion came to him, asking him, and saying, "Lord, my servant lies in the house paralyzed, grievously tormented." Jesus said to him, "I will come and heal him." The centurion answered, "Lord, I'm not worthy for you to come under my roof. Just say the word, and my servant will be healed. For I am also a man under authority, having under myself soldiers. I tell this one, 'Go,' and he goes; and tell another, 'Come,' and he comes; and tell my servant, 'Do this,' and he does it." When Jesus heard it, he marveled, and said to those who followed, "Most certainly I tell you, I haven't found so great a faith, not even in Israel. I tell you that many will come from the east and the west, and will sit down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the Kingdom of Heaven, but the children of the Kingdom will be thrown out into the outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth." Jesus said to the centurion, "Go your way. Let it be done for you as you have believed." His servant was healed in that hour. Jesus Heals Many When Jesus came into Peter's house, he saw his wife's mother lying sick with a fever. He touched her hand, and the fever left her. She got up and served him. When evening came, they brought to him many possessed with demons. He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick; that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through Isaiah the prophet, saying: "He took our infirmities, and bore our diseases." The Cost of Following Jesus Now when Jesus saw great multitudes around him, he gave the order to depart to the other side. A scribe came, and said to him, "Teacher, I will follow you wherever you go." Jesus said to him, "The foxes have holes, and the birds of the sky have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head." Another of his disciples said to him, "Lord, allow me first to go and bury my father." But Jesus said to him, "Follow me, and leave the dead to bury their own dead." Jesus Calms the Storm When he got into a boat, his disciples followed him. Behold, a violent storm came up on the sea, so much that the boat was covered with the waves, but he was asleep. They came to him, and woke him up, saying, "Save us, Lord! We are dying!" He said to them, "Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?" Then he got up, rebuked the wind and the sea, and there was a great calm. The men marveled, saying, "What kind of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?" The Healing of Two Demon-possessed Men When he came to the other side, into the country of the Gergesenes, two people possessed by demons met him there, coming out of the tombs, exceedingly fierce, so that nobody could pass that way. Behold, they cried out, saying, "What do we have to do with you, Jesus, Son of God? Have you come here to torment us before the time?" Now there was a herd of many pigs feeding far away from them. The demons begged him, saying, "If you cast us out, permit us to go away into the herd of pigs." He said to them, "Go!" They came out, and went into the herd of pigs: and behold, the whole herd of pigs rushed down the cliff into the sea, and died in the water. Those who fed them fled, and went away into the city, and told everything, including what happened to those who were possessed with demons. Behold, all the city came out to meet Jesus. When they saw him, they begged that he would depart from their borders.
