Was Jesus trying to incite his death (eg. temple cleansing, accusation of leaders?
No not at all. He was sent to the world to declare the GOSPEL and it was predestined that he should come into this world as a human being and that he should preach the gospel and suffer and die. He was born to die so that we can LIVE. He preached the TRUTH without fear and when it was necessar to take the whip He did it. He did not hesitate to call the then religious leaders hypocretes in their face. He simply accomplished the WILL OF GOD even unto death; a death on the cross. He expects us to be as forthright as he was and suffer, if necessary without fear.

No. Jesus was doing what exactly scriptures was written to do. God`s Law is how we are supposed to live by, not how the Pharisees were living.

Jesus was just carrying out the plan, he knew what his final task on earth was for and he was preparing for it. He gave freely his love to all those who are lost and paid for it with his own blood and he knew that was what he was going to do.

Jesus Death
Jesus had no need to incite his death. He knew that the Father had ordained for him to die on the cross. He knew it was going to happen no matter what he did. He was teaching us to help us understand what is right and wrong in the eyes of God.

I don`t know....I really hesitate to say yes or not..at times it seems that Jesus was trying to incite his death through alot of the events that lead up to it..but HE was doing the Will of the Father...it had to be done...so I guess it was just a part of God`s plan to lead up to the crucifixion & resurrection....Thank God...for the resurrection...Jesus is finally over all the pain He endured...and Is almost time for Him to return to the right hand of the Father...and Salvation is done for all who believe.

Jesus came to earth to die, that was his major task. To live the life of a man, to be tempted, and endure and die in order to free us from sin and the law. Jesus was sinless and he endured death on the cross so that we can be free by the his blood. he predicted his death, and endured ''was strengthened in the garden of gethsamanie'' and he obeyed the will of God. No man took his life but he gave it up willingly and was dead, he was raised three days later as he had earlier proclaimed. Our Victory in in the victory of Jesus our Lord and Saviour.
