How does being forgiven increase ones love for God? Note: According to Jesus, God`s forgiveness is motivated by love.
The classic case of what being forgiven can do would be the prodigal son`s story. After a filthy life, all the wrong doing and wondering away....one comes home to his father and is received with an embrace. That is an amazing way to show someone that their life is more valuable than all the things they have done wrong. After such forgiveness, one can only want to love back even more, become better and make God happy to look down and see His child walking on the right path.

Before you are forgiven you draw away from God because you think that you are not worthy. You feel ashamed. But when you are forgiven you realize how much of a great God he is that he could forgive your sins and the shame goes away, so you are able to love God more than you did before.

GO TO A CHURCH WHETHER YOU ARE DOING GOOD OR BAD THINGS
No matter what happens in my life, my saviour is Jesus Christ. Christ encourages the sinner to come close to him so he can forgive his/her sins. Baptism means to repent of your sins and lead a good life but I agree we fall every day. That is why we need communion, bread and wine so we can be forgiven. Yes Jesus requires us to act with compassion to even the most violent criminal because even they need love. Crime results from a cycle of violent abuse, where the children could only learn violence to survive. God is love. Everyone needs to be forgiven. That is why we need to be compassionate to the needy and the poor. We can`t do that without God`s forgiveness. Christ is the unblemished lamb sacrificed so our sins could be forgiven. There is no other sacrifice higher. God commends those who give their lives to save others. Christ came to save those who are sick and ill. Therefore the righteous need to clothe, feed and shelter the sick and ill because as you have done to one of this brothers or sisters you have actually done the same to Jesus Christ. You are no longer a goat but a sheep. You are no longer a weed but wheat. The angels are coming to sift the wheat from the weeds. The weeds will go to eternal destruction in the lake of fire. The wheat go to heaven to live with God in eternal bliss.

When a person accepts God`s forgiveness for their sins, their love for God is increased because of gratitude. Before being forgiven a person feels heaviness, guilt and shame. Being forgiven offers freedom, hope and peace.

God Forgives You, If You Ask
Christianity is all about BELIEF. Belief in our Lord Jesus Christ and BELIEF in all HIS PROMISES. Which means that we should have the FAITH in HIM and His WORD. With faith if you ask Jesus to forgive your sins, He will forgive. Consequently, one feels elated to serve such a God. All are sinful and there is none born of flesh and blood who does not sin, everyday in their thoughts, words or deeds. Jesus wants us to riseup and go to Him every time we fall and He is ever willing to forgive us. Thanks to God; this is His unending LOVE and MERCY towars us.

"Very truly, I tell you, anyone who hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life, and does not come under judgment, but has passed from death to life." ( John 5:24)

"A certain moneylender had two debtors; one owed five hundred denarii, and the other fifty. When they were unable to repay, he graciously forgave them both. Which of them therefore will love him more?" ( Luke 7:41)

"The kingdom of heaven may be compared to a certain king who wished to settle accounts with his slaves. And when he had begun to settle them, there was brought to him one who owed him ten thousand days wages. But since he did not have the means to repay, his lord commanded him to be sold a, along with his wife and children and all that he had, and repayment to be made. The slave therefore falling down, prostrated himself before him, saying, 'Have patience with me, and I will repay you everything.' And the lord of that slave felt compassion and released him and forgave him the debt. ( Matthew 18:23-35)
