The Savior Of The World
The Savior of the World

He was and is the Son of the Almighty. He was the only perfect man to walk the earth. He healed the sick and caused the lame to walk, the blind to see, the deaf to hear. He raised the dead. Yet He suffered His own life to be taken in an act of atonement, the magnitude of which is beyond our comprehension.

Luke records that this anguish was so great that “his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground” (Luke 22:44), a physical manifestation confirmed in both the Book of Mormon and the Doctrine and Covenants (see Mosiah 3:7; D&C 19:18). The suffering in Gethsemane and on the cross of Calvary, just a few hundred meters from Gethsemane, included both physical and spiritual “temptations, … pain, … hunger, thirst, and fatigue, even more than man can suffer,” said King Benjamin, “except it be unto death” (Mosiah 3:7).

After the agony of Gethsemane came His arrest, His trials, His condemnation, then the unspeakable pain of His death on the cross, followed by His burial in Joseph’s tomb and the triumphant coming forth in the Resurrection. He, the lowly babe of Bethlehem who two millennia ago walked the dusty roads of the Holy Land, became the Lord Omnipotent, the King of kings, the Giver of salvation to all. None can fully comprehend the splendor of His life, the majesty of His death, the universality of His gift to humankind. I unequivocally declare with the centurion who said at His death, “Truly this man was the Son of God” (Mark 15:39).

What are the things that testify, or tell us, about Jesus?
It tells us more of Who Jesus is. Jesus, the Son of God came in a form of man, to die for our sins. All the works that He has done is to save us, Jesus is so compassionate and forgiving set good examples for us top follow so that we too can be save and go to God , the Father in His glory. So as follower of Jesus, we ought to keep ourselves from sins which separate us from God.

What are the things that testify, or tell us, about Jesus?
John a man `He was the burning and shining lamp, and you were willing to rejoice for a while in his light. But the testimony which I have is greater than that of John, for the works which the Father gave me to accomplish, the very works that I do, testify about me, that the Father has sent me` so the testimonies are the facts the wonderful deeds God performs through him. The miracles that people will see with their own eyes. But you need to have faith in advance know on the basis of your belief in the Scriptures that he is the Son of God promised to men to seal the first Covenant sealed through Moses who heard the voice of God. Recorded Tradition is the foundation of it all and the historical events lived by their fathers and treasured by the descendants. Historical events that saw the constant presence of God`s hand. The voice is not in them yet but the voice of the forefathers is and in it they are called to trust. But most of all the miraculous deeds should their faith be still faltering.

Testimonies About Jesus

"If I testify about myself, my witness is not valid. It is another who testifies about me. I know that the testimony which he testifies about me is true. You have sent to John, and he has testified to the truth. But the testimony which I receive is not from man. However, I say these things that you may be saved. He was the burning and shining lamp, and you were willing to rejoice for a while in his light. But the testimony which I have is greater than that of John, for the works which the Father gave me to accomplish, the very works that I do, testify about me, that the Father has sent me. The Father himself, who sent me, has testified about me. You have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his form. You don't have his word living in you; because you don't believe him whom he sent.
"You search the Scriptures, because you think that in them you have eternal life; and these are they which testify about me. Yet you will not come to me, that you may have life. I don't receive glory from men. But I know you, that you don't have God's love in yourselves. I have come in my Father's name, and you don't receive me. If another comes in his own name, you will receive him. How can you believe, who receive glory from one another, and you don't seek the glory that comes from the only God?
"Don't think that I will accuse you to the Father. There is one who accuses you, even Moses, on whom you have set your hope. For if you believed Moses, you would believe me; for he wrote about me. But if you don't believe his writings, how will you believe my words?"
