Can you explain the word picture Jesus uses (vs. 27) about how to rob the house of a strong man?
The picture that i am seeing is you have to take the power away from the evil and then you can fix whatever the evil spirit has done or caused.

If an armed robber or thiefs is about to rob a house, he must have for a long time familiar with his victims, study him or her, his/her movement so as to know he/she comes in. These examples is what Jesus is referring to that one should first of all detonated the power of satan before destroying him.

Jesus means that to first rob the house of a strong man, you must incapacitate the strong man.In the case meaning that to destroy satan and his agents, God has sent Him, Jesus to first bind satan:hence the casting out of demons.

No one can go into a strong man`s house and steal his property. First he must tie up the strong man. Then he can go through the strong man`s house and steal his property. Satan`s house is a world of darkness. With our faith in God, we have a powerful light in a dark world and we can work on faithful knot tying to tie up the strong man.

The world is ful of demons that is ( strong man ),so we need to pray hard to tie the demon and go about our the daily duties as children of God. If we can tie them by prayers, we can walk with Chirst in Spirit.

Hello dear friends, This is somehow tricky but according to the way I understand a strong man is the one whose faith is in Jesus or in God.B`se there`s a crisis here where people are try to call jesus Beelzebul meaning the prince of demons and Jesus has to tell them that satan cann`t cast out satan b`se his kingdom will therefore fall.This implies that to cast out demons you have to be on the side of God believing Jesus and calling the presence of the holyspirit.So a strong man is on Jesus`s side and a weak man is on satan`s side.

The Bible says in the book of James 5 Vs 13 -19 , that the prayer of the reghteous man is effective which means that the strong man is the one who is reghteous before God and the unclean spirits cannot stand with him. Therefore , for us to cast out demons , we need to resist the devil and the devil will run away '' James 4 Vs 7'' . Thanks to God who is able to forgive any sin but if we sin against the Holy Spirit , Our sins are not forgiven. Brother and Sisters , let us be strong in the Lord so that the devil never attack us. Amen!!!

Jesus and Beelzebub

He came into a house. The multitude came together again, so that they could not so much as eat bread. When his friends heard it, they went out to seize him: for they said, "He is insane." The scribes who came down from Jerusalem said, "He has Beelzebul," and, "By the prince of the demons he casts out the demons."
He summoned them, and said to them in parables, "How can Satan cast out Satan? If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand. If Satan has risen up against himself, and is divided, he can't stand, but has an end. But no one can enter into the house of the strong man to plunder, unless he first binds the strong man; and then he will plunder his house. Most certainly I tell you, all sins of the descendants of man will be forgiven, including their blasphemies with which they may blaspheme; but whoever may blaspheme against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin"--because they said, "He has an unclean spirit."
