How does hardness of heart lead to divorce? How does one avoid having a hard heart?
Hardness of Heart...what does it really mean....well I guess there is no straight forward answer. We fall in love with someone and get all consumed by passion. We feel such a deep desire for each other that we decide to get married.Everything is going well and there is just such tenderness in everything that is said an done...and forgiveness comes easy. However these little thing slowly fade away and before we know it we start building up barriers, and mental blocks because we no longer feel that connection we once had. We are losing touch with each other because our expectations are so high and we get disappointed. We find fault with the slightest change in behavior and when something gets us angry we tend to harden our hearts hoping that something will happen to make our partners come around and see things from our prospective. ........Now for us to achieve that we we need to release all the anger we feel and try to talk things out. Unfortunately however this is not always the case and we hold on to the anger and tempers flare. Instead of engaging in meaningful discussion we say and do thing that are hurtful and unpleasant which only leads to further hardening of our hearts. Now if we allow this to continue to happen we would only allow ourselves to reach a point of no return. It is like a cancer and it take over our whole being and before we realise it our hearts become consumed by hate and we are no longer able to get back to where we were.....it has gotten to a point of no return and with such hardness of heart there in no way out but to get a divorce .That is why marriage is a journey and and we have to go into it with a deep genuine love for our partners. We should try to work on the small issues by discussing it and when the bigger problem arises it will be alot easier to handle.Anger leads to hatred & hardness of hearts and Divorce. Love leads to forgiveness and peace and A HAPPY MARRIAGE which can only be achieved with the help of God who stenghens us.I thank him for a Happy Marriage!!!! To all the married couple out there i urge you to take a step backward and look at your relationships from the point of view of the person looking in and see where you can make things better for both you and your partner....how you can let a little forgiveness and love in.Just try to remember that person you were when you said I DOand try to be that person over again. Trust me, God will richly and truly bless your marriage.

How does hardness of heart lead to divorce? How does one avoid having a hard heart?
Being unfaithful to one another, not wanting to accept each other for who they truly are or wanting to change the other person to who one wants the other person to be. Not trying to understand each other. Leaving Jesus and His church totally out of one`s marriage. Not awknowledging God our Father. Not reading the Bible. If we read the Bible daily and go to Church, practice our faith, we can avoid having a hard heart.

I`m wondering if there is no love at all between each other, is it for both good to divorce? Love must come from heart, if no love come from heart, why pretend or tolerate to stay together with someone you don`t love anymore. If true love come later aft

How does hardness of heart lead to divorce? How does one avoid having a hard heart?
Hardness of heart is unwillingness to understand and/or forgive your mate. To avoid having a hard heart, we have to remember to keep God first and pray to Him for guidance about what is bothering us about our husband or wife.

To answer the first portion of the question, if you love someone enough to marry them I don`t know how in the world you can grow to hate them. The hardening of the heart is definitely provoked by satan because we truly know that God is love. To avoid having a hard heart is simple just continue to read your bible, study, and pray.

Divorce

It happened when Jesus had finished these words, he departed from Galilee, and came into the borders of Judea beyond the Jordan. Great multitudes followed him, and he healed them there. Pharisees came to him, testing him, and saying, "Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any reason?"
He answered, "Haven't you read that he who made them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, 'For this cause a man shall leave his father and mother, and shall join to his wife; and the two shall become one flesh?' So that they are no more two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, don't let man tear apart."
They asked him, "Why then did Moses command us to give her a bill of divorce, and divorce her?"
He said to them, "Moses, because of the hardness of your hearts, allowed you to divorce your wives, but from the beginning it has not been so. I tell you that whoever divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another, commits adultery; and he who marries her when she is divorced commits adultery."
His disciples said to him, "If this is the case of the man with his wife, it is not expedient to marry."
But he said to them, "Not all men can receive this saying, but those to whom it is given. For there are eunuchs who were born that way from their mother's womb, and there are eunuchs who were made eunuchs by men; and there are eunuchs who made themselves eunuchs for the Kingdom of Heaven's sake. He who is able to receive it, let him receive it."
