What is so good about fasting? Why fast?
Fasting is a good way to get closer to God. It helps to purify my body and bring clarity to my mind. When I need to pray especially hard, I`ll fast and when I feel a hunger pang or think of food or eating, I`ll remember what I want to be in prayer for. It helps me to focus.

What is so good about fasting? Why fast?
Fasting will make us healthy.The most important meaning of fasting is about our relationship with God will become closer. Fasting and prayer are very important to a christian. It is a way to show Our God that we thankful to Him for his sacrifaction to us. I love You, Lord. Amen

What is so good about fasting? Why fast?
So that u can show God what u will do for him, you are giving up something because you love him. He showed his great love for us by giving his life for our sins. This is a small gesture we can give to show that we will give up things for him because he is first in our lives and we live for him.

The thing that is good about fasting is spending more time with God. Also giving up something that u love to do and spending more time with him. Because u want God to do work in ur life.

I don`t really understand why, but obviously Jesus thinks the Father will reward me for fasting. I guess it is a spiritual discipline thing. It seems from reading this lesson that the people listening to Jesus, and Jesus himself, understood that fasting was a good thing so he did not feel the need to explain further.

Fasting brings us closer to GOD...I feel in continuous communion with HIM during my fasting hours.... True fasting purifies soul... But one should remember it is not Salvation....its one of the pillars of chrisitanity that Leads to Jesus who is the real Salvation

"Moreover when you fast, don't be like the hypocrites, with sad faces. For they disfigure their faces, that they may be seen by men to be fasting. Most certainly I tell you, they have received their reward.
