However, the roots of the Christmas season celebration  - before it was actually called "Christmas", which is rooted in the word "Christ" - are pagan. In other words, before the early Christians turned Christmas into a celebration of Christ`s birth, it was a pagan celebration and tradition. Thank God that those who love Jesus used this tradition to celebrate His coming.
