Jesus was born in Bethlemen and grew up in humble surroundings in Nazareth, where he worked as a carpenter. He was brought up as a Jew and followed the Jewish laws completely.  When he was 30 years old he began preaching about God and also claiming to be the Son of God.  These claims landed him in trouble with the Jewish leaders who despised his eventual popularity and claims.  Jesus taught the people that God loves everyone equally, rich or poor, sick or healthy. That God forgives our sins and that we must love one another. After gaining much popularity once leaving his hometown of Nazareth and preaching in Galilee and Jerusalem he preform several miracles and converted many people to follow him.  Jesus was eventually betrayed and handed over to be tortured and crucified.  Crucifixtion was being nailed to a cross and left there to hang. This method cut of air supply to the body and one usually died after 3 hours.  After Jesus death he rose from the dead and appeared to several people.  Jesus popularity increased by the day until eventually the Romans adopted Christianity as their religion, as did the Greeks.  The coming of Jesus marks the end of an era in our calendar and we call it B.C. (Before Christ) and A.D. (Anno Domini - After Christ)

Why is it OK with God to pay the one who worked all day the same amount paid to the one who worked only an hour?
Jesus Christ was crusified between two thieves. One of the thieves was sorry for what he did during his life and during the last few minutes he was granted eternal salvation.Same as the saints who worked all their life to be able to spend all eternity adoring God. God is God and God is Good. Amen.

What types of people are suited to be laborers in the harvest for Jesus?

Hi. The type of laborers needed in the harvest for Jesus are those not attached with worldly things, filled with the spirit of God and with their sight fixed on the crusified King as their only provider and forgiver.

Just like the wondering Jews in the desert, who after having been bitten by snakes, looked up to the Bronze serpent errected by Moses and were healed.
