Why does the Father hide things from the wise and intelligent and reveal them to infants?
Here, Jesus means those that think they are 'wise and intelligent', the skeptics that seek proof of God's existence, and that Jesus is the Son of God. By infants, he means those that are humble and willing to 'let go' and let God control their lives and deeds. By: Richard Warren - May 10, 2008 - Public Category: Rest for the Weary

The wise will claim that they have the idea through their wisdom which God denied them and gave those who don`t know the likes of infants here as Jesus said.
The infants are those who know less and would know more by learning the word of God. By: Bol Joseph Agau - April 22, 2007 - Public Category: Rest for the Weary

What childhood believe have you since abandoned in adulthood?
Why does the Father hide things from the wise and intelligent and reveal them to infants?
I believe that infants are always eager to know and sometimes anxious to learn.Whatever thing you teach infants, they accept; but the wise and the intelligent are sometimes proud and would want to have a proof. By: Francis Conoh - April 21, 2007 - Public Category: Rest for the Weary (1) Comments

Why does the Father hide things from the wise and intelligent and reveal them to infants?
The wise and intelligent already think they know what they need to know and are arrogant in their own self-esteem while the infants are open to learning and are humble in their lack of understanding and their desire to know more of God. Why does the Father hide things from the wise and intelligent and reveal them to infants?
Because the wise and intelligent will ask so much questions, and the infants will listen. URL: http:/www.jesuscentral.com/ By: joanna naipaul - April 19, 2007 - Public Category: Rest for the Weary
At that time, Jesus
answered, "I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and
earth, that you hid these things from the wise and understanding, and
revealed them to infants. Yes, Father, for so it was
well-pleasing in your sight. All things have been delivered
to me by my Father. No one knows the Son, except the Father; neither does
anyone know the Father, except the Son, and he to whom the Son desires to
reveal him.
"Come to me, all you who
labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn
from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for
your souls. For my yoke
is easy, and my burden is light."
