If Jesus knew he was being betrayed behold, the hand of him who betrays me, why not tell who was the betrayer? The disciples will kill him before the time of his action to fulfill the prophecy of ages.

Judas was one of the 12 men closest to Jesus. Why would Judas betray Jesus? He is chosen to fulfil the long prophecy of how Jesus would suffer under the power of men.
Judas was also greedy and wanted money from the chief priests.
