What lesson do you think Jesus taught the disciples by cursing the fig tree?
Jesus was teaching them 2 main lessons: The first lesson was on Faith. That it was possible to do all things including controlling the things of nature-mountains, fig trees -seemily-impossible things to do.All one needed was faith. The second lesson was that those who failed to produce''fruit'', were cursed and would die just like the fig tree.We are all called to serve the lord, and failure to do this means we would be spiritually dead.

Why did Jesus answer a question with a question, rather than just telling the Pharisees by what authority He acted?
Jesus realized that the pharisees were trying to trick Him into offending the crowd.Whatever answer He gave would have offended the crowd. So in turn, He asked the pharisees a question that would equally put them in troublw with the crowd whatever their response. He knew that the crowd at that time, were not yet prepared for His proclamations as John was still the greatest prophet in their own eyes.

What made Jesus` teaching so attactive to tax collectors and prostitutes?
As we all know, Jesus Christ ?the most humble, the omnipotent, Omnipresent and omniscience was preaching ?come ye unto me all those that are labor and heavy laden, and I will give you rest? repent and be converted for the kingdom of God has come to you, whosoever come to me I will not cast him out, the taxes collectors are listening to this announcement, the prostitutes are listening to this humble man; like those prostitutes, this time they might be rejected by this self-righteous people, thank God there is good news for them ?whosoever come to me I will not drive him out' another thing that move me not only those people is that; word of Almighty God, He said, ?I will use the foolish, to confound the wise? now there is hope for the hopeless, also ?I will have mercy on whom I will' praise God for his love and his grace for us.
