Jesus said that his disciples will receive the same treatment because they first hated him (the master/teacher) and if we do the same actions as Jesus we will receive like treatment. Are we being persecuted and mistreated? Do we love our enemies, really? David Jesus' parables usually reflects a parallel relationship in heaven as well as earth. We easily relate to earthly matters and how this could apply to us. What about the heavenly reference? Who is the good son? Jesus. Who is the prodigal? Satan? If this is true is Jesus telling the Father that he is pissed off because he lived in accordance to the Father's wishes all of his life and now this Prodigal returns and is received with open arms by the Father? Since God is extravagantly rich in forgiveness does that mean at the end of eternity that He will forgive Satan for all of his wastefulness and let him out of the Lake of Fire and throw him a party?
