Jesus also called Christ which means King or Messiah, was born 2000 years ago. He lived a traditional jewish life for his first thirty years working as a carpenter, including Bethlehem where he was born and Nazareth where he was raised.

He began his public teaching  but never travelled more than 200 miles outside his home town. Over a three year period he tried to keep a low profile , but his reputation spread nationwide.

His messages included :

God loves you and is with you

love one another

immense value of each other

Kingdom of God has come to earth

Reality of judgement to heaven or hell

God forgives those who ask

The Roman  Government wanted to execute him becasue they thought that he was breaking the law but could not find him quilty.

Pontious Pilot a Roman Governer ordered the execution of Jesus. He was brutally tortured and hung by his hand  to a wooden cross. H e was buried in a borrowed tomb and rose again three days later. The next forty days he journeyed throughtout the northern and southern province of Israel and accaording to witnessess left the earth alive by rising up in the sky.

A s a result of these miraculous events the number of his followers increased dramatically.
