Why does Jesus call "Love One Another" a "New" commandment?

hmmm.. i'm not sure but i think seeing that we are no longer saved by the law but by grace through Jesus Christ we need new commandents. it is a new commandent because like grace it is open, meaning there are no direct orders or borders in which we should live. The new commandment covers all things even those that were in the previous law that he deems necessary. If you do unto others as u will like to be done unto you, then you won't kill or steal or commit adultry etc.

I think if u follow this camandment u will follow all because love is the key to all and apart from that if every loved each other the world would be a better place for eg. if u love me u would not sleep with my husband or steal from me or even lie to me

How does being forgiven increase ones love for God? Note: According to Jesus, God`s forgiveness is motivated by love.

One asks for forgiveness when they acknowledge that they were wrong.In order to acknowledge that you were wrong one must feel a sense of guilt or shame. If when we are feeling guilty or ashame God deals with us harshly and refused to forgive us it will only make us draw away from him and satan"s philosophy of God will be proven true, but if he forgives us we realize his compassion and love and we likewise return that love. Do a man hate his friend that shows him love?
