This is Jesus` sharp response to a trick question about divorce from religious lawyers. What does Jesus say is God`s role in a marriage? What motivation to stay together might Jesus offer a struggling couple? Jesus role in marriage is,that man should leave his mother and father and cling to his wife,because what GOD put together let no man take apart. Why did Jesus´ penalty for "sin" need to include physical and emotional pain - why not just spiritual separation from God? Jesus had to pay the penalty for sin physical and emotional pain becauseof all the evils of mankind was placed on JESUS,he made the heaviest sacrifice for us ,he died for the remission of our sins
