路加所著的耶稣传记——大筵席的比喻 同席的有一人听见这话，就对耶稣说，在神国里吃饭的有福了。 (14:15) 耶稣对他说，有一人摆设大筵席，请了许多客。 (14:16) 到了坐席的时候，打发仆人去对所请的人说，请来吧。样样都齐备了。 (14:17) 众人一口同音地推辞。头一个说，我买了一块地，必须去看看。请你准我辞了。 (14:18) 又有一个说，我买了五对牛，要去试一试。请你准我辞了。 (14:19) 又有一个说，我才娶了妻，所以不能去。 (14:20) 那仆人回来，把这事都告诉了主人。家主就动怒，对仆人说，快出去到城里大街小巷，领那贫穷的，残废的，瞎眼的，瘸腿的来。 (14:21) 仆人说，主阿，你所吩咐的已经办了，还有空座。 (14:22) 主人对仆人说，你出去到路上和篱笆那里，勉强人进来，坐满我的屋子。 (14:23) 我告诉你们，先前所请的人，没有一个得尝我的筵席。 (14:24) 路加 14:15-24

The Parable of the Great Banquet
When one of those who sat at the table with him heard these things, he said to him, "Blessed is he who will feast in the Kingdom of God!" But he said to him, "A certain man made a great supper, and he invited many people. He sent out his servant at supper time to tell those who were invited, 'Come, for everything is ready now.' They all as one began to make excuses. "The first said to him, 'I have bought a field, and I must go and see it. Please have me excused.' "Another said, 'I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I must go try them out. Please have me excused.' "Another said, 'I have married a wife, and therefore I can't come.' "That servant came, and told his lord these things. Then the master of the house, being angry, said to his servant, 'Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in the poor, maimed, blind, and lame.' "The servant said, 'Lord, it is done as you commanded, and there is still room.' "The lord said to the servant, 'Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled. For I tell you that none of those men who were invited will taste of my supper.'" Luke 14:15-24
