马可所著的耶稣传记——耶稣使四千人吃饱 那时，又有许多人聚集，并没有什么吃的。耶稣叫门徒来，说， (8:1) 我怜悯这众人，因为他们同我在这里已经三天，也没有吃的了。 (8:2) 我若打发他们饿着回家，就必在路上困乏。因为其中有从远处来的。 (8:3) 门徒回答说，在这野地，从哪里能得饼，叫这些人吃饱呢？ (8:4) 耶稣问他们说，你们有多少饼？他们说，七个。 (8:5) 他吩咐众人坐在地上，就拿着这七个饼，祝谢了，掰开递给门徒叫他们摆开，门徒就摆在众人面前。 (8:6) 又有几条小鱼。耶稣祝了福，就吩咐也摆在众人面前。 (8:7) 众人都吃，并且吃饱了。收拾剩下的零碎，有七筐子。 (8:8) 人数约有四千。耶稣打发他们走了， (8:9) 随即同门徒上船，来到大玛努他境内。 (8:10) 法利赛人出来盘问耶稣，求他从天上显个神迹给他们看，想要试探他。 (8:11) 耶稣心里深深地叹息说，这世代为什么求神迹呢？我实在告诉你们，没有神迹给这世代看。 (8:12) 他就离开他们，又上船往海那边去了。 (8:13) 马可 8:1-13

Jesus Feeds the Four Thousand
In those days, when there was a very great multitude, and they had nothing to eat, Jesus called his disciples to himself, and said to them, "I have compassion on the multitude, because they have stayed with me now three days, and have nothing to eat. If I send them away fasting to their home, they will faint on the way, for some of them have come a long way." His disciples answered him, "From where could one satisfy these people with bread here in a deserted place?" He asked them, "How many loaves do you have?" They said, "Seven." He commanded the multitude to sit down on the ground, and he took the seven loaves. Having given thanks, he broke them, and gave them to his disciples to serve, and they served the multitude. They had a few small fish. Having blessed them, he said to serve these also. They ate, and were filled. They took up seven baskets of broken pieces that were left over. Those who had eaten were about four thousand. Then he sent them away. Immediately he entered into the boat with his disciples, and came into the region of Dalmanutha. The Pharisees came out and began to question him, seeking from him a sign from heaven, and testing him. He sighed deeply in his spirit, and said, "Why does this generation seek a sign? Most certainly I tell you, no sign will be given to this generation." He left them, and again entering into the boat, departed to the other side. Mark 8:1-13
