马太所著的耶稣传记——最大的戒命 法利赛人听见耶稣堵住了撒都该人的口，他们就聚集。 (22:34) 内中有一个人是律法师，要试探耶稣，就问他说， (22:35) 夫子，律法上的诫命，那一条是最大的呢？ (22:36) 耶稣对他说，你要尽心，尽性，尽意，爱主你的神。 (22:37) 这是诫命中的第一，且是最大的。 (22:38) 其次也相仿，就是要爱人如己。 (22:39) 这两条诫命，是律法和先知一切道理的总纲。 (22:40) 马太 22:34-40

The Greatest Commandment
But the Pharisees, when they heard that he had silenced the Sadducees, gathered themselves together. One of them, a lawyer, asked him a question, testing him. "Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the law?" Jesus said to him, "'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.' This is the first and great commandment. A second likewise is this, 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' The whole law and the prophets depend on these two commandments." Matthew 22:34-40
