How does Jesus link intimacy to him with obedience to him? a New commandment?
Intimacy with Jesus is the new commandment because Christ is the new way to the Father as he tells us no one can get to the Father except through him''Christ''. before, the way to the Father was through sacrifices and atonement but now, all we have to do is to accept Christ into our lives and inturn, he will prepare a place for us in his father`s mansion.

If you had a one-on-one meal with Jesus, what would you discuss?
If i had a one-on-one with Jesus, I would discuss His Humility. Given His wisdom, His powers and His relationship with God, how did He manage to remain so humble? To preach a message of selfless love and to demonstrate that. These are the things I would like to discuss with Christ. THEIR MAGNITUDE ASTOUNDS ME!

If you had a one-on-one meal with Jesus, what would you discuss?
I tell him thank you and I love you. I talk about everything with him. I mean everything. I do have a one on one meal with him sometimes. I hold a conversation with him like I would talk to my mother. I would wash his hair, comb his hair, kiss his feet , sleep in his lap. I love him so much.

my weaknesses, my fear..... my struggles....... of course i wanna thank him for dying for me.Since hES THE SON OF GOD I wanna ask him to be my king and ruler of my life.and if im worthy to be used as worker in the fathers vineyard i would be delighted./

there is always a promise or a reward of being obedient to him, in rev.3;20 says if anyone hears....open the door. there is an action or a progress of the second party. in john7:37 says come to me. the same there is a movement that means u need to follow first before the blessings.....

Jesus says that by obeying his commandments, you indicate that you love him.Anyone who has a friend, would like to know the likes and dislikes of that friend, and after knowing him, he does what is good and helpful for their friendship.In the same way, we have to to be obedient to Jesus, since he is our Master, our teacher, our shepherd and friend.This is a new commandment because in the past the aspect of intimacy with god was not visible, especially in the Old testament where God was feared and sometimes spoke through mediators. A personal relationship of one to one is new.

I would just thank him for the many things he has done for me-died on my behalf, for being my advocate, for loving me, for answering my prayers for believing in me and caring for me, and above all for dying for me, and going up to prepare a home for me. I will praise him :for his big , loving heart, for his generosity and because he is so warm and caring, I might rest in his arms and say nothing-because he will understand even when i am speechless.

If your very best friend called at the door, you would ask him in. You would offer him a drink and maybe a meal. So when Jesus knocks at the door of your heart, is it not right and proper to let him in; to turn over your house and life to him?
