How does Jesus link intimacy to him with obedience to him? a New commandment?
Jesus says it is he who loves Him and keeps the commandment, that Jesus himself and the Father will love in return.He will expose himself to such a person.This means being intimate or close to Jesus, requires obeying His commandment as a sign/proof of our love for Jesus.

ONE ON ONE MEAL WITH JESUS
I would be humble by his presence. I would ask Jesus Christ to forgive my sins I have done to him, God, myself, my family and anyone else because I know I am a sinner. I would apologise for anything I done against his name, even though I think subconsciously that I am always asking for his help. We would probably discuss his death and ressurection. I would thank him for what he has done in my life. My study, work, family, community and recreational lifestyle. I am not rich but I have had abundance. Ofcourse I would be thankful that he died for me so I may enter heaven to eternal paradise, when my sins are forgiven. God has promised me he would never leave me. I would ask what he would want me to do in his life? I would ask what he would want me to do with the remainder of my life? I would ask what life would be like in heaven? I would ask him to give me the strength to finish the race?

i guess if you are intimate with Jesus you become His servant and be obedient by loving others.

I`d ask him about love. How It is really shown to other people. I`d ask him if there was a time that He ever ignored me. I`d ask Him if he feels all the pain I felt over the years. I`d ask him if he could comfort me whenever I am sad because I am somewhat a sensitive person. I`d ask Him if He talks to God the Father Almighty about me. I`d ask Him if he was there when my real parents abandoned me when I was a baby...

there is a relationship between love and obedience. if you love someone then it is easy to respect and obey. JESUS says if you love then you will obey my commands. it is evident that Jesus loves us so mucch to want to live in our sinful hearts, all we have to do is open when he knocks, he doesnt want anything more from us, he accepts us the way we are. the love of God is unconditional and eternal

He is our example He was and He is faithful ;by doing his will we are faithful to him, if we say we love Him we keep his commandments.
