The New Testament Bible reveals that Jesus condemned prostitution inasmuch as He condemned all sin. However; Jesus showed in His teaching that what a man thinks makes Him a sinner – not just what He does. Jesus condemned sin but loved the sinner. He died for the sins of mankind. Read this story of Jesus’s encounter with a prostitute as seen in the Gospel of Luke in the New Testament Bible: Luke 7:36-50. 36 Then one of the Pharisees asked Him to eat with him. And He went to the Pharisee’s house, and sat down to eat. 37 And behold, a woman in the city who was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at the table in the Pharisee’s house, brought an alabaster flask of fragrant oil, 38 and stood at His feet behind Him weeping; and she began to wash His feet with her tears, and wiped them with the hair of her head; and she kissed His feet and anointed them with the fragrant oil. 39 Now when the Pharisee who had invited Him saw this, he spoke to himself, saying, “This Man, if He were a prophet, would know who and what manner of woman this is who is touching Him, for she is a sinner.” 40 And Jesus answered and said to him, “Simon, I have something to say to you.” So he said, “Teacher, say it.” 41 “There was a certain creditor who had two debtors. One owed five hundred denarii, and the other fifty. 42 And when they had nothing with which to repay, he freely forgave them both. Tell Me, therefore, which of them will love him more?” 43 Simon answered and said, “I suppose the one whom he forgave more.” And He said to him, “You have rightly judged.” 44 Then He turned to the woman and said to Simon, “Do you see this woman? I entered your house; you gave Me no water for My feet, but she has washed My feet with her tears and wiped them with the hair of her head. 45 You gave Me no kiss, but this woman has not ceased to kiss My feet since the time I came in. 46 You did not anoint My head with oil, but this woman has anointed My feet with fragrant oil. 47 Therefore I say to you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven, for she loved much. But to whom little is forgiven, the same loves little.” 48 Then He said to her, “Your sins are forgiven.” 49 And those who sat at the table with Him began to say to themselves, “Who is this who even forgives sins?” 50 Then He said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you. Go in peace.” (New King James Version). By: Editors Category: My Blog |

The New Testament Bible reveals that Jesus condemned stealing inasmuch as He condemned all sin. However; Jesus showed in His teaching that what a man thinks makes Him a sinner – not just what He does. Jesus condemned sin but loved the sinner. He died for the sins of mankind. Read this story to see what happened to Zacchaeus, the tax collector who stole from -- as seen in the Gospels in the New Testament Bible. | Did Jesus condemn sin? |
Jesus condemned sin but He did not condemn the sinner. He did not condone sin. Sin separates man from God. It is because of mankind being separated from God by sin that Jesus died on the cross. He paid for the sins of mankind by His death on the cross of Calvary. In the Gospel of John, in the New Testament, we read the story an the adulterous woman who was caught in her sin – specifically, caught in adultery. Jesus did not condone her sinful act. But He did forgive it. The law condemned her sin and therefore people condemned her. But Jesus, did not condemn her, as we see in this verse in the Bible: "And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn you: go, and sin no more" (John 8:2-11 NKJV). Click here for an interesting article on this topic. The New Testament Bible shows that Jesus died on the cross for the sins of mankind, so that sin could be forgiven. Without the shedding of His blood, mankind would be perpetually condemned for his sinful acts. Because of Jesus death on the cross, those who choose to make Him their savior can be free from the condemnation of sin. Read here about how Jesus hates sin. By: Editors Category: My Blog |

| Did Jesus condone sin as a human being? |
Jesus never condoned sin. Jesus does not approve or sin. He died for the sins of mankind. If sin could have been condoned, He wouldn’t have died. The New Testament Bible teaches that the wages (salary, payment) for sin is death. It cannot be condoned but, rather, a price must be paid in death to nullify mankind’s sin. Jesus paid that price with His own death. However, Jesus did not condemn those who sinned. He offered them grace and freedom from sin by dying on the cross for the sins of the world. His redeeming blood paid the price for sin. The first chapter of the Gospel of John in the New Testament shows that Jesus came into the world to reveal the darkness of mankind – to shed His light on the sinful state of man. Sin cannot be hidden from God. He condemns sin but He does not condemn the sinner who turns to Him to receive His forgiveness. When the adulterous woman was caught in her sin, Jesus did not condone her act. He forgave her sin but asked her to sin no more: "And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn you: go, and sin no more." (John 8:2-11 NKJV). Click here for an article related to this topic. | Did Jesus forbid war? |
According to the New Testament Bible, Jesus neither forbad nor condoned war. Jesus came to free man from sin. War is caused by sin. Jesus came to reveal sin so that men could be saved and live in harmony. But Jesus also claimed that His radical sayings would bring division among men because some would not believe them. He came to bring peace within, knowing that on this earth there would be trouble without. By: Editors Category: My Blog (1) Comments |

| Did Jesus encourage free love? |
Jesus did not encourage free love. On the contrary, He discouraged and did not condone it. According to the sayings of Jesus found in the New Testament Bible, with regard to sexual behavior, Jesus encouraged marriage and did not endorse people living together without the commitment of legal marriage. Jesus always encouraged commitment and responsibility in relations – which supports the idea of marriage and fidelity. By: Editors Category: My Blog (1) Comments |

| How often did Jesus pray? |
The New Testament Bible does not record precisely how many times Jesus prayed but in a sense He prayed all the time. He prayed every day. He probably prayed every moment within His heart since He chose to remain dependant on the Father. In the New Testament Gospels, we see Jesus praying often – day and night, and sometimes all through the night. He would pray everywhere He went. He spoke to His Father in prayer about everything. He was obedient to His Father and heard His Father’s will by seeking Him in prayer. By: Editors Category: My Blog (1) Comments |

| Did Jesus teach others to pray? |
Yes, Jesus taught others to pray. In the New Testament. Click here to see Jesus teaching others to pray. And also here. Here is a prayer Jesus taught His disciples recorded in the Gospels in the New Testament: He said to them, "When you pray, say, 'Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy. May your Kingdom come. May your will be done on Earth, as it is in heaven. Give us day by day our daily bread. Forgive us our sins. for we ourselves also forgive everyone who is indebted to us. Bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.'" And here is more that Jesus taught His disciples on prayer: He said to them, "Which of you, if you go to a friend at midnight, and tell him, 'Friend, lend me three loaves of bread, for a friend of mine has come to me from a journey, and I have nothing to set before him,' and he from within will answer and say, 'Don't bother me. The door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed. I can't get up and give it to you'? I tell you, although he will not rise and give it to him because he is his friend, yet because of his persistence, he will get up and give him as many as he needs. "I tell you, keep asking, and it will be given you. Keep seeking, and you will find. Keep knocking, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened. "Which of you fathers, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, he won't give him a snake instead of a fish, will he? Or if he asks for an egg, he won't give him a scorpion, will he? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him?" (Luke 11:1-13). | What kind of attributes did Jesus express? |
The New Testament Bible (and the Old Testament which prophesies of Jesus) depicts many attributes which Jesus expressed. They are too numerous to include in a brief answer. The best way to learn of His attributes is to read the New Testament Bible. Here are some of Jesus’ attributes we find in the Bible: Jesus was the Son of God and the Son of man. As such, Jesus possessed the following attributes: Love, compassion, humility, patience, longsuffering, mercy and mercifulness, graciousness, gentleness, meekness, kindness, holiness, perfection, prayerfulness, submission, obedience, divine anger, joy, peace, sensitivity to others, the ability to read into people thoughts and hearts, spiritual strength, Jesus' attributes are seen in His nature. According to the New Testament Bible, Jesus’s nature was perfect and sinless. He was a person of impeccable (true and perfect) character. But He did have a character. He did not lack the attributes of human nature. He simply lacked sin. Jesus expressed emotions like anyone else, but in the right way. In the New Testament Gospel of John, chapter 11, the Bible records “Jesus wept.” This is the shortest verse in the Bible and shows that Jesus clearly had feelings. Jesus’ nature expressed love, grace, mercy, compassion, kindness, goodness, understanding, righteous just and anger (i.e. He was angry at injustice, hypocrisy, unrighteousness etc.). Jesus reflected the nature of His father. According to I John 4:8 in the New Testament God is Love. Since Jesus was one with God the Father, He too was love and His nature expresses love. Jesus’ nature was divine inasmuch as He was one with His heavenly Father and was God’s son. Jesus did not have a sin nature.
