How can one find spiritual blessing by going through mourning, suffering, hunger or poverty?
How can one find spiritual blessing by going through mourning, suffering, hunger or poverty? mourning, suffering hunger poverty are supposed to teach you humility, and as the scripture teaches us humility is the essential virtue, without which it is impossible to bear any good fruit at all. Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven ''Matthew 5:3''. most worldly people forget about the virtue of humility.once we acknowledge almightyness of God and the imperfection of man we can understand what humility means.people tend to forget all about God and are engrossed in pride and self centerdness once they have everything set and figured out &all is going good in their lives and that although seems to look on the outer level as a sign of happiness and succes it only leads to a spiritual voidness.Spiritual voidness leads man away from his creator, his only true source of happiness and contentment and away from faith, which in itself leads a man into misery. The self-sufficient proud man is in fact the most wretched one, because he is so blind he cannot even perceive his misery ''Revelation 3:17''. the Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, is the greatest example of humility. Who could ever be higher than Him ¨ the Creator of everything visible and invisible alike? And yet He was always the example of obedience towards His earthly parents, He was obedient towards the lay authorities, He paid taxes, and He meekly forgave His enemies. Striving towards humility, we are doing so in the steps of our Saviour, Who left us His commandment: Take My yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls ''Matthew 11:29''. humility is the path that leads us to God.God is the ultimate source of happiness although we might not know that. For how many are the rich and succesful who have it all yet are so miserable in their lives that they have lost all sense of why they are born and whats the pourpose of life , that they are willing to let satan freely take control of their lives and lead them away from God

Luke`s Biography of Jesus - Blessings and Woes
We are doing a church wide 40 day Adventure, called The Beautiful Mess based on Luke. In this passage I have come to understand that when we are poor, hungry and when we weep, it is because we have nothing left. Because we are stripped of any and all of our ability to make ourselves rich, well-fed, content and happy we realize the beauty and our need for Jesus. He needs us to be at end and when we are He can make us rich, full and content and full of joy. I pray for each of us that we reach that place. Blessings,

Blessings and Woes

He came down with them, and stood on a level place, with a crowd of his disciples, and a great number of the people from all Judea and Jerusalem, and the sea coast of Tyre and Sidon, who came to hear him and to be healed of their diseases; as well as those who were troubled by unclean spirits, and they were being healed. All the multitude sought to touch him, for power came out from him and healed them all.
He lifted up his eyes to his disciples, and said,
"Blessed are you who are poor,
for yours is the Kingdom of God.
Blessed are you who hunger now,
for you will be filled.
Blessed are you who weep now,
for you will laugh.
Blessed are you when men shall hate you, and when they shall exclude and mock you, and throw out your name as evil, for the Son of Man's sake.
Rejoice in that day, and leap for joy, for behold, your reward is great in heaven, for their fathers did the same thing to the prophets.
"But woe to you who are rich!
For you have received your consolation.
Woe to you, you who are full now,
for you will be hungry.
Woe to you who laugh now,
for you will mourn and weep.
Woe, when men speak well of you,
for their fathers did the same thing to the false prophets.
