my analysis
the paralytic was not really paralized but simply deceiving the towns folk, thats why jesus firstly recognized the faith of the men that brought the paralytic in,it was their faith that is mentioned and the first thing he said to the paralytic was "your sins are forgiven" because he immediately sensed the paralytic had been deceiving the towns folk, then the scribes get his attention by thinking "who is this man who forgives sin, blasphemy" in reply jesus says "Which is easier to say, "Your sins are forgiven," or to say, "Get up and walk"?’" he now takes the opportunity to correct a sinner carefully as not to expose the paralytic and endanger his life when the towns people finds out his deceit, at the same time to silence the scribes, he says to the paralytic, ‘Get up, take your mat and go home.’ And the man got up and went home" sometimes "quickly" or "immediately" is thrown in as if to emphasize the paralytic wanted to get out as fast as possible, not even thanking jesus dont you think the paralytic would stop and fall on his knees and thank jesus if he were healed
that is why there is no mention of the word "heal"and the first thing jesus says is "your sins are forgiven"this is indeed a powerful story, there are lots of interpretations of this, and this is just one more id just thought id share because i heard the gospel awhile ago and this just popped in while listening

Healing powers

When sins are made against Jesus and Godand Holy Ghost,  the sufferng you give Them is a problem that we will suffer from our selves.  The Holy Trinity are the only Judges in the world allowed to make the call against or for the sinner.  If Satan sins, should God forgive him?  If I sin, is my sin as bad and evil as Satan's??

The answer is in God's Hand.   God bless everyone and the world!!!!

By what statement or action does Jesus claim to be God?
It was believed that only God could forgive sins, so that when Jesus told the man that his sins were forgiven, He claimed to be God. Jesus also told the scribes that the Son of Man has authority on Earth to forgive sins. By forgiving the man`s sins, Jesus claimed to be the Son of God.

By remitting his sins which only God can do.They do not undesratnd though. The scribes faith not strong enough so they need a more visible albeit lesser miracle. The healing of the paralytic. Stand up and walk.

Jesus Heals a Paralytic

When he entered again into Capernaum after some days, it was heard that he was in the house. Immediately many were gathered together, so that there was no more room, not even around the door; and he spoke the word to them. Four people came, carrying a paralytic to him. When they could not come near to him for the crowd, they removed the roof where he was. When they had broken it up, they let down the mat that the paralytic was lying on. Jesus, seeing their faith, said to the paralytic, "Son, your sins are forgiven you."
But there were some of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts, "Why does this man speak blasphemies like that? Who can forgive sins but God alone?"
Immediately Jesus, perceiving in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, said to them, "Why do you reason these things in your hearts? Which is easier, to tell the paralytic, 'Your sins are forgiven;' or to say, 'Arise, and take up your bed, and walk?' But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins"--he said to the paralytic--"I tell you, arise, take up your mat, and go to your house."
He arose, and immediately took up the mat, and went out in front of them all; so that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, "We never saw anything like this!"
