If Jesus came to show the world what God is like, what does this parable mean?
I think this Parable means that Our God is not a God of Hide and Seek all he does is clear, so this means that all the followers of Jesus should also do the works of God Clearly without hidding or fearing anything

Goodmorning everybody! That we have to stay close to Jesus and the father and to create a great believe! Than Jesus wil give us more and more. But if we do nothing with it what we heard, than He shell take that away also!!!

It means that Jesus is the light of the world. He has given us the Good News - the light of knowledge. Those who have been given faith should not hide this light, but must go out and make it known to everyone.

The parable means that we should give to others what we have recieved. The word of God, that has been made known to us, we should also make it known to others, and therefore not keep it inside us.

According to God`s Word, the reasons Jesus came to Earth were: To bear witness to the truth. To show us what God is really like. To defeat mankind`s old enemy, the devil, and deliver mankind from his control. To render him harmless against those who know the truth. So man can have life. There is only one way mankind can be brought to life -- by receiving Jesus Christ.

If Jesus came to show the world what God is like, what does this parable mean?
Well, I take this to mean that Jesus is the Light of the World. And those who have accepted him and accepted the word of God into their hearts. Can not be hidden from sight, so that you too will be like Christ and show your light to the world. For the more God gives you to apply to your life and preach & teach ours about the Word of God and what Jesus Christ has done for us All. Amen!

It is an instruction, God and and the worlds of Jesus are the lamp. They are the light, They even give us the instruction of measure whatever but They will also give you more to measure ''the light and the knowledge'' but if we don`t want to hear and follow the instruction even that, that is given to us just by birth will be taken away from us.

If Jesus came to show the world what God is like, what does this parable mean?
The lamp represents God. The light of God should be shinning on every righteous one and not to be covered up. If it`s covered up then is only darkness and everyone will be doing evils. This is not what God wants. God wants to light up the world for all the righteous ones and if the unrighteous ones repent and receive Jesus as their Savious, they too will be enlightened.
