Why was the woman`s act so pleasing to Jesus?
the act of the woman was absurd from the point of view of earthly man, because they could buy many things with the money for the oil, but, instead of that, the woman poured it on Jesus` head. Jesus was moved to see that that her love for Him pushed her beyond the barriers of reason, she love Him with great and sincere enthusiasm!

Why was the woman`s act so pleasing to Jesus?
Jesus said, `it was preparing him for burial.` This is very true since Jesus was like to be buried soon after the pass over feast. Jesus wanted to tell us that it is worth doing to annoint his head with the very expensive ointment because he will not be with the disciples very soon.

Why was the woman`s act so pleasing to Jesus?
This was a moment and a place to recline and rest, after the terrific questions, challenges, attempts to corner and arrest him, by the pharisees, saducees, elders, hypocrites, chief priests, etc. For once, Jesus was witnessing something positive about him- a delivered woman paying tribute to the master. A grateful heart filled with unreserved love- the sacrifice which God loves. Jesus took opportunity to teach the Disciples something about honoring the Lord of the day. He even related it to his death and burial.

Why was the woman`s act so pleasing to Jesus?
Because the woman was exhibiting selflessness. She was not asking Jesus for anything but was serving Him and was in that way being an example of all that Jesus was teaching and what He stood for.

Why was the woman`s act so pleasing to Jesus?
The woman repented and comes forth for appreciation. And the anointing was for the preparation of Jesus death. For as Jesus knowest that there will be no time for the body to be treated and decourated traditionally after His burial. for the two mary went to anoint the body of Christ and finally discovered that He has risen.

Jesus Anointed at Bethany

Now when Jesus was in Bethany, in the house of Simon the leper, a woman came to him having an alabaster jar of very expensive ointment, and she poured it on his head as he sat at the table. But when his disciples saw this, they were indignant, saying, "Why this waste? For this ointment might have been sold for much, and given to the poor."
However, knowing this, Jesus said to them, "Why do you trouble the woman? Because she has done a good work for me. For you always have the poor with you; but you don't always have me. For in pouring this ointment on my body, she did it to prepare me for burial. Most certainly I tell you, wherever this Good News is preached in the whole world, what this woman has done will also be spoken of as a memorial of her."
