In the New Testament Gospels, the angels declared Jesus to be the Savior: "The angel said to them, "Don`t be afraid, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be to all the people. Jesus affirmed again and again that He is the Savior. He affirmed this by fulfilling the Old Testament prophesied that pointed to a Savior. He fulfilled each prophesy to a tee. And He confirmed He was Savior in the following statements in the Gospels.
Jesus agreed with Peter`s declaration that Jesus is the Messiah and Son of God, thus the Savior (Matthew 16:15-17, Mark 8:29-30, Luke 9:20-21).
Jesus also told the high priest that He is the Son of God and the Messiah, thus the Savior (Mk 14:61-62, Mt 26:63-64, Lk 22:70).
Yes, Jesus is the Savior of the world. But not everyone will be saved. Only those who put their trust in Him to receive Him as Lord and Savior will be saved. This means that those who recognize that Jesus is God`s Son and who turn to Him in sorrow over their wrongdoing, they will be saved.
