约翰所著的耶稣传记——犹太人坚持不信 他虽然在他们面前行了许多神迹，他们还是不信他。 (12:37) 这是要应验先知以赛亚的话说，主阿，我们所传的，有谁信呢？主的膀臂向谁显露呢？ (12:38) 他们所以不能信，因为以赛亚又说， (12:39) 主叫他们瞎了眼，硬了心，免得他们眼睛看见，心里明白，回转过来，我就医治他们。 (12:40) 以赛亚因为看见他的荣耀，就指着他说这话。 (12:41) 虽然如此，官长中却有好些信他的。只因法利赛人的缘故，就不承认，恐怕被赶出会堂。 (12:42) 这是因他们爱人的荣耀，过于爱神的荣耀。 (12:43) 耶稣大声说，信我的，不是信我，乃是信那差我来的。 (12:44) 人看见我，就是看见那差我来的。 (12:45) 我到世上来，乃是光，叫凡信我的，不住在黑暗里。 (12:46) 若有人听见我的话不遵守，我不审判他。我来本不是要审判世界，乃是要拯救世界。 (12:47) 弃绝我不领受我话的人，有审判他的。就是我所讲的道，在末日要审判他。 (12:48) 因为我没有凭着自己讲。惟有差我来的父，已经给我命令，叫我说什么，讲什么。 (12:49) 我也知道他的命令就是永生。故此我所讲的话，正是照着父对我所说的。 (12:50) 约翰 12:37-50

The Jews Continue in Their Unbelief
But though he had done so many signs before them, yet they didn't believe in him, that the word of Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spoke, For this cause they couldn't believe, for Isaiah said again, Isaiah said these things when he saw his glory, and spoke of him. Nevertheless even of the rulers many believed in him, but because of the Pharisees they didn't confess it, so that they wouldn't be put out of the synagogue, for they loved men's praise more than God's praise. Jesus cried out and said, "Whoever believes in me, believes not in me, but in him who sent me. He who sees me sees him who sent me. I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in me may not remain in the darkness. If anyone listens to my sayings, and doesn't believe, I don't judge him. For I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. He who rejects me, and doesn't receive my sayings, has one who judges him. The word that I spoke, the same will judge him in the last day. For I spoke not from myself, but the Father who sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. I know that his commandment is eternal life. The things therefore which I speak, even as the Father has said to me, so I speak." John 12:37-50
